Forum Is Locked

Hi can someone direct me on to how i unlock my forum i am new to this site.

Hi,

Go to your admin pannel> General> Catagories and Forums> Choose the forum you want to unlock> You will see "Forum status : " make sure it is unlocked. If that dose not work please reply to theis topic.

I have followed these instructions and i dont see anywhere where it says forum status i am probably doing something wrong.

I have located the unlocked or the status thing but at the bottom of my page it still says forum is locked but the boxes tell me they are unlocked

I did like you said above and all my forums are "unlocked", but in the
forum portal, shows LOCKED.

Is it possible you are just seeing the legend at the bottom of the forum?
there is an icon for New posts, no new posts, and locked??

could you manage a screenshot?

That is just showing you WHAT the icon for a locked forum would be.
unless the icon with the key is to the left of a forum, it isn't locked.
that is the legend or guide showing topic icons
