how to can i prevent a user from entering a section of my forum...?

i mean give certain members the ability to enter a section and prevent others from that ?

ahh, i see..

add them to a certain group where in that certain group is the only ones allowed access on that certain forum.

or simply just modify their permissions manually.

i did create a group and made sure that the tick against permission to enter a section is removed for members of that particular group or for that individual member but that still did not work.!!

I think (emphasis on THINK) that you have to make the group and exclude the member/members FROM that group.
then give that group special permissions. i've been thinking about doing this myself, but haven't gotten around to messing with it.

thanks you very much i finally did it.

i created the group then in forum/sections managment section i remove the tick against this group and it worked.
