Need post modification enabled for my users?

How do I enable my users to be able to modify their post, so if they make a mistake in their post they can edit it? We don't like double posting except with the character limit.

Just go to your forum's permissions and select advanced mode...

You'll see the options to edit posts,ect...

You can modify everything from there...And don't forget to press save, thumright

I can't seem to figure out what the problem is I guess. According to the table, everyone has modify permissions but it seems they can only modify their most recent posts...

See, we're a pet site fan forum, and I made a thread to allow everyone to have one or two posts to keep all their clickables in like a nursery, and they're to edit out the adults and edit in the new pets.....but they aren't able to except on new posts?

Sorry for the wait on this, was out on vacation.

Anyway, my users are unable to modify their older posts. Like, say they posted something yesterday and had posted many since then. They want to go edit that one post, but the option to edit it isn't available to them. I'm able to edit everything, as I'm the admin....but they can't with their own posts. My admin panel says they ARE able to.

I don't know if it's just the edit button not showing up or what. They are able to edit their most recent post and that's it. I want them able to edit all previous posts of theirs. I can't say it any more simple than that.

Go to AP==>Display==>Pics Management==>Advanced==>Buttons Tab==>Edit Post pic

Is it there?

I'm really not sure what it could be!
If I find anything I'll edit it into my post, so check back once in a while.

Edit1: I doubt having an admin account would help seeing as they can edit.

And if anyone needs to, I'll grant someone temporary admin status to help me figure it out.

Edit in reply: Well, I meant as far as my settings go, or maybe there's a glitch in my layout that's preventing it or something. I'm not accustomed to any form of codes except basic HTML.
