customizing spam warning on newsletter
Hi,
I'd like to change of the default warning message appearing on top of newsletter messages I send out:
The following message is an email sent to you by an administrator of "myforum". If this message is spam, contains abusive or other comments you find offensive please contact the webmaster of the board at the following address:
admin@myforum.foo
Include this full email (especially the headers).
Message sent to you follows:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How can I do this?
thanks
brunus
Re: customizing spam warning on newsletter
I don't believe you can change it. Why would you want to change it anyway? It's a security measure to help you, in case someone hacks your site and send out a newsletter so they can have access to all your members emails, to send spam or even an infection.
Re: customizing spam warning on newsletter
Because I don't think it should be on top of the message: it's scary and confusing for the average forum newbie. Plus I think it should be left up to the forum admin to evaluate and choose whether to take the risk you're mentioning or use the warning.
If we can't get rid of it, at least it would be sensible to leave to the admin the freedom to choose to have it as header or footer of the newsletter message.
Could you please suggest this to the developers?
thanks,
Paolo
