Editboard Graphic Contest #3

Hello everyone!

Here are the rules for the third Editboard Graph Contest.
Please read this one (The general rules of this section)


Nature of your creations : A "who's on-line?" and a background for Editboard with as theme Christmas

Dimensions required :

whosonline : maximum 140*140

Background : it depends on the background. If it's a small pattern background, it must be done in a way that there will be no neat cut when the background repeats itself. If it's a background like the one on http://forumpub.forumactif.com, it must be at least 1024 wide, but there is no fixed height since we make this kind of background repeat only vertically.

Animation : Not an option

Picture format : .JPG, .GIF or .PNG

Text : No text. Except "Who's on-line" if you want on the appropriate picture

Once you have finished your full kit (both pictures), you must submit them by PM on this account.
Incomplte Kits wil not be accepted

The deadline for submissions has been fixed on Monday 11 december

If your kit fulfills the requirement, it will be held for the poll which will be set up for two weeks. Everyone will be invited to vote for their favourite kit.

In the event of having more than 10 participants, they will be split in two groups. The winner of each group will face each other in a final poll.

Because the usernames may influence the votes, the authors's names will not be revealed until we know the contest winner.

As a reward, the winner's name and creations will be shown in the "Graph Contest Hall of Fame" topic which will regroup all contest winners.


You can post on this current topic ONLY if you have questions related to the contest rules.


Don't forget, the most important is having fun to create, even if you are a newbie who has only MS Paint as a picture edition software

Get to your pic edition softwares and make the contest account's mailbox explode!p

i think they should have better rewards than that ..

Could you be a little more constructive and explain why you don't like it and what they could earn instead?

If I may add:

Are you going to use the graphics on this forum?
If so then you are going to use someones work for basically free except for being put in a hall of fame.

As far as an alternative award, no clue.

I know I may work on something for the fun of it. But there are some that are probably thinking why should I?

Answer: for the heck of it! The Challange!

Yes we are going to use the creations for the day of Christmas.

As for rewards, we've not had any complaints so far. We're not forcing you to create.
Besides, the aim for this is to have fun. (Other than to have your work shown t all if you win and your name written down)

i understand 1 thing from the contest: the background
-can you explain about the "hwo's on-line" (or show me a pic-exemple)
-its that think from the bottom of forums ?

The "who is online button" is the button that is next to the statistics and the list of users, the legend and users whose birthdays are soon.
For an example, here's the current support forum one:

aaaa, is the "hwo's on-line" icon/image, thx
-i thought you tell us about the whole "hwo's on-line" area

I would do this for the forums if I had time, because they are good forums..... but.... they don't have domain stuff, and I mentioned stuff to help the site.... Anyways, I might get to it in 1 week or so..

As you know, there is the 3rd graphic art contest.
Since we received only two creations, we decide to prolong the submissions to december14th. After, we will organize the vote. The winner will have his/her creations in the support forum.

We hope we receive other creations, don't hesitate to create.
