Also can I say that although the members are being added to the groups as they achieve the post level automatically , they are still in the previous groups which means that we have to remove them individually? so this is not fully automatic.

Thank you Sanket for all your help, but it is still worrying when we have anonymous members that don't exist? maybe its a Halloween thing ? lol but its not funny from a security point

Thank you Hello

that's same problem i had that auto group thing i hate it so i trun it off cos i find that wrong members was being addin to groups an not even had enough post for that group then i had same problem like u my co-admin was remove from admin group and place in some other group then a member was auto add to the admin group lot crap going on it's good thing i keep a eye on all this any way i think best way to set up that auto thing is when a members reach so much post then they can see a forum not to be added to no group if a admin want to place a special member in a group then he should have that right to do so but members she set up to make so much post to then see that forum sample...bless

Sanket just to let you know that you became a Senior member, and when I deleted your test posts you became Admin, ie you went to the senior group with 2 posts, and then you went to Admin with no posts, I have since removed you from both, but this is now very worrying? as the security of my forum is now at risk ? not from you but any other member that gets put into Admin ? automatically .

Hello,

I've listed your issues for the techs, and they'll be checking them out quickly.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

There are quite a few things that are on the techies mind (check out the In need of a Tech), so it may seem like a while (Quote from Darren that the average waiting time is 4 months).

A fix has been made this morning, please send me any feedback if you still have an issue. Wink
It might be necessary to re-create the groups that were causing the issue, so it's clean and fresh!

Well I'm not too sure yet as you can see Typlo has asked for me to get back if the problem hasn't been resolved so if its ok with you Sanket could we leave it another couple of days just to be sure rather than start a new thread if its not cured ?

Hiya I have now had time to see how things are since the Tech repair? and to day I removed a member from a group and he was automatically added to a group that requires 2500 posts but he only had 137 posts? so it seems that something is still wrong ? also when a member is auto added to a group they still remain in the previous group? so this is not completely automatic? it should really remove them from the old group as they are upgraded automatically .

Than you Hello

I don't think so. Maybe the higher posts, get access to special forums. They should be having access to older forum as well.

Correct me if i am wrong.

I hear what you say but the only way a member should be able to get into a group that requires 2500 posts is to have 2500 posts not 137, when I removed this member they should have gone down not up? don't you think ?

Hi Sanket
I see what you mean now and I understand what you are saying but somehow I still need to get the situation resolved with members going up in groups without the need for the correct amount of posts. This is the only time that this has happened since Typlo has got the techs to sort the problem but having said that, this is the first time I have had to move a member out of a group and when I did I found it had automatically put them in the Mega User group which requires 2500 posts.
