Your favorite movies?

What are your favorite movies? the one you could watch 10000000....0000 times without getting tired of them

My favorite ones are Braveheart, Saw and Saw2 (the third should be coming soon^^)

I like Napolian Dynamite, Elmo In Grouchland (and all the other Muppet and Elmo movies) and Joe Dirt.

I am not really into TV and Movies.

I wanted to let another person than me to start a movies topic, because it's been a long time since the last time I watched a movie...

I'm not much into movies and TV, I prefer japanese anime.

But I liked a lot the Lord of the Ring trilogy.

Anyway, if I want to watch a movie, there is a videoclub 15 minutes far from my home, for VHS or DVD rental, and there's also the town library where I can borrow VHS/DVDs.

"The Green Line" from Mister Stephen King. So of course It's not a recent film, but it's still wonderful. Once you saw that film, you'll never be able to forget it anymore.

Otherwise, I dont go really very often to cinema, so I dont really know whats going on at the moment despite the fact that I like to watch a film from time to times. Now for sure I'll never pay to see a horror film, not that I'm sensible, no, but I find them so bloody stupid !! Mind you, thats my way to think, so don't pay to much attention.

In a way I would say : I'm not a Movie mad addict ......... sorry

There's a Japanese film adapted from a manga called Battle Royale, it's maybe a bit offputting to many of you but it really is GREAT. It's the knid of thing i can watch over and over without getting bored of it

I heard about a movie called GTO...
Actually I didn't see it, but I enjoyed the manga/anime GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) a lot^^

The story line is as follows:
'In an asiatic country, the youth are becoming more and more uncontrollable. to cope with this, the Government has imposed the Battle Royale law. Every year, a class of 15 year olds is chosen at random in the country and is kidnapped and brought to an island during their summer hollidays. The rule is simple: they have special necklaces (that can blow up) to tell the army where they are. Each kid is givin a weapon (at random) and for three days trhey must kill each other, only one may survive, otherwise the necklaces go boom and no-one survives'
Its very gore, so carefull if you're not used to that sort of stuff

Battle Royale is very gore in the sense that all is normal, then suddenly something goes wrong and every one dies in a blood bath. ex: at the beginning, the teacher is telling the 'lucky' kids their situation, as usuale the girls are talking between each other, suddenly the teacher throws a knife in the head of one of 'em and blows up the neck of another, pretty gory if ye ask me (anyway, i'll try not to give more details 'cause it could fend some people)

Anything that is COMPLETLY Comedy,things that will make me laugh like every few miniutes!

Last week i saw some great movies, such as :

- Lucky Number Slevin (with Bruce Willis),
- Scary Movie 4 (I don't like the Scary Movies, I just watched this one to see what they had done with Jigsaw, the serial killer of Saw & Saw II )
- Shallow Ground
- Fear Of The Dark
- ...

The 2 I enjoyed the most were Fear Of The Dark and Lucky Number Slevin

Fear Of The Dark is about a little boy (12 year old) who has a real phobia, he can't stand darkness.
One night however, his parents go out and leave him with his big brother, and a storm is heading that way. Now the question is : what happens when there is a storm? The lights go out

However, this is not a horror movie, and most times it makes me laugh (Dale does not believe in those "creatures", and that guy's funny )

Ok, now for the second movie, I don't want to say too much, it would ruin everything

So, let's see... Slevin is a young man who goes to visit a friend of his, but he finds the home empty.
2 guys come to see him, saying "the boss" wans to meet him. No need resisting with guys like these, he goes to see the boss
That's when the story takes place. The boss' son was killed by his enemy : the [b]Rabbi[/i] (sorry, I'm not sure... a Jewish priest, don't know how you wall it in English ^^). The boss then gives Slevin 48 hours to kill the Rabbi's son.

Why? It's complicated to explain, see the movie

Anyways... after he made it back home, 2 other guys knock at his door, totake him to the 'Rabbi' this time.

May seem complicated at first sight, but it really makes sense when you see the movie

Maybe Edward Scissor's Hands by Tim Burton

Or, the amazing "What's eating Gilbert Grappe"

Another one is the Straight Story by David ynch (God American countryside is simply beautiful.... And the music in that film is quite good too)

Hmmmm... hard to say wich one I prefer... There are so many, and I eat movies for breakfast, so there are too many to choose just one so there they are:

- Space Balls (and many of the Mel Brooks collection)

- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (and all the Depp and Tim Burton movies)

- Quest for the Holy Grail, Meaning of Life, Érik le Vicking (dunno the name in english lol) and all the Monty Python

- Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (french movie)

- Conan the Barbarian, Predator, Commando and many of the Schwary movies (this man is a clown and he doesn't even know it... fantastic...)

- I used to watch gore movies too, but that period is over lol my favorites were: Bernie (a french movie where people get beaten in the face with a shovel and much more...), Braindead, the Evil Dead serie, ...

You want more?

- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and all the Kevin Smith movies

And I could continue all day... lol But I won't cuz I already have a too long answer for a so simple question... lol

Well While you were sleeping is a romantic comedy with Bill Pullman and Sandra Bullock is very funny actually

Is about a girl, Lucy (Sandra Bullock) who lives alone in Chicago after her father and mother passed she works for the subway an likes a guy (Peter Gallangher) who passes every day at the same hour to buy his ticket but on Christmas Day he gets agressed and pushed on the railtracks she runs, jumps on the tracks and saves his life from a passing subway train... Once she gets to the hospital there is a missundrstanding and every thinks she is Peter's fiancé and when his family arrives they think that Peter got engaged without telling them (oh Peter is incocient and in the comma...) so they invite her for Christmas and there she's going to meet Peter's youger brother (Bill Pullman) and one thing involving an other they fall in love (Jack has sime suspicions) but he thinks that Lucy is his brother fiancé.... well its hard to explain
