Why aren't the techinians doing their job??

Greetings,

Please calm down. The technicians have a lot of work to do. ALLTHOUGH when they recieve a Help Message from a member they should immediatly send a letter saying '' We will review your case and see what we can do , please be patient. They shouldnt just leave us waiting without an Answer. This is what Scamite is complaining about.

Uhm, if he was against free speach I would have been banned over a year ago! So I do have to thank Caihlem and the rest of the team for letting me voice my concerns.

Do you think they will hire me part time as a tech? I will work for free features that normally would costs credits. Really i would!

come on admins, lock this thread, it doesn't have any sense... just let technicians alone to do their work, and shut up all of you, they're all good!!! is that clear? yes, it is. thanks

Posts like this will get it locked. Telling someone to "shut up" can be viewed as a personal attack.

Amen to that! I posted somewhere else that 99% of the time people are more than willing to exercise patience, if they are communicated with. Being completely ignored is terribly frustrating when we have a responsibility to cater to our forum members, which is impossible to meet when we get no support. Its a simple customer service issue. And yes.....regardless of whether we pay or not we are customers with opinions to share and word of mouth is a very valuable thing.

All it would take is for someone....mod, admin, or techy, to go through the new posts asking for help and post a simple "I am sorry to hear you are having this problem, please be patient though as the technicians are very busy with [insert reason here]"...or even, with the wealth of phpbb experience the mods/admin surely must have, suggest a few ideas themselves!

This would make for a much more satisfying experience with the service for customers, a much more pleasant atmosphere as there would be less of these kinds of posts (which are rife) and a lot more recommendations to a good free forum service with good support.

As it stands, I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone and would advise anyone thinking of using it not to bother. Thats what happens when customer service is this bad.

If this was a fair forum Luka_08 would have been banned for "attacks" on a member just as well as Scamite "attacked" Caihlem . We all need to set an example. I have been around more forums then I can count, so I can tell a good admin or member from one who is spoiled.

With that I can say:

Caihlem , Scamite is not a spoiled member.

Scamite, Caihlem is not a spoiled administrator.

Caihlem I have seen personal attacks and what I perceived, I did not think Scamite inteded this as a personal attack on you. I am not pointing fingers, but maybe you haven't looked through Scamite's point of view. How about reviewing his website's problem with the technicians?

oh dear hasnt this kicked off, really though you thnk forumotion is bad, you try any of the support forums out there for other providers and it wouldnt be long until you were back. There isnt many i havent tried...and zetaboards has to be the worst, i would quite happily recommend forumotion and have done many many times.

I am getting annoyed with the technicians bit by bit. They keep fiddling with our administration panels and now it took me 10 minutes to find the area where you can add categories and forums!

I guess in a way I would love to see the techies step up here more and resolve these issues, but I will not sign any petition here against them or forumotion. Zinex has a point, what if one day we woke up and all our forums were gone. Not exactly the chance i'd like to take just to get my voice heard and what not about these techies. I think bringing this pettion here like this can cause more problems then its worth in the end really. I love forumotion and have faith that all of these issues will be worked out given some time ( bugs and such in the new update ) Good luck with this petition everyone. I hope it gets you exactly where you need to be with forumotion. But I want no part of it * backs out of thread slowly *

This may be true on discussion forums where everyone has a choice to participate or not, and I have stated the exact same sentiment myself on forums I moderate on.

However, this is not primarily a discussion forum, it is a support forum. The choice to stay or go doesnt come into it, because to leave is a choice to either give up on all our hardwork on the forums we have created, or just blindly accept that we will never have our issues resolved. I for one am not prepared to do either.

I would have been prepared at the beginning, to patiently wait for someone to look at my problem if I had been communicated with and my issue acknowledged, but it seems that is too much to ask.
