Why aren't the techinians doing their job??

The technicians are paid staff. I have a technical issue on my forum, that has been posted in the "Need of a Technician?" forum. It has been almost a month and nothing done about it.

and now it is the weekend and they don't work on the weekend! And they give us a untested update full of bugs and nothing was fixed on that either.

However I get the feeling that no mattor how loud you shout, no-one will pay any attention. This is a technician free void, and no-one can hear you scream in space.

Its a joke.

Something needs to be done, so I have decided to start a petition.

The technicians are doing their job thoroughly well. It's better if you ask and maybe others can help.

it's not ungratefull at all these things should of been tested before they release them, all these bugs can put people off join or using your forum again.

yes it is ungrateful, with a modified database like forumotions i am sure they check it as best they can until they have to release it to find any other faults, i know a good few providers like that, including ning for one.
As for the technicians, a lot of the time they dont waste time replying to posts about bugs, they just get started on fixing them and annouce when it has been done, i have seen it many times. To start stupid petition posts like this is just childish frankly.

well i spend hours advertising my forum these silly bugs wont help my forum to grow, would you join a forum that is all buged up? the tech should added the update on monday so they could of work on them all week, now we going have to wait for 2 days before they even work on them.

so your forum is not working then, no members can access it and use it as normal? its hardly urgent if not is it? I think if you asked your members what they would prefer...a forum that never has any new features added, or a forum that gets updated and sometimes has a few bugs that get ironed out, they would say the second and if they like your forum they wont leave it because of a few glitches.

we dont get update for normal member to use.. we got punbb but i think pbpbb2 is better, we got widget but it's not my thing so i'm not going to use it. admin panel is always getting updated but normal member cant see that so that dont count.

i got member that cant edit profiles i have reported this and nothing has happen

now the update i have got number of differnet problems the forum is not loading up right, it's slow

they cant always update to suit each individual site though (unfortunately) and unless you have had a phpbb forum that you have made from scratch the amount of coding needing to be done for any update is major, plus you have to make sure it doesnt clash with all the other modifications. Because i know this from having a phpbb forum from scratch i wont disrespect technicians that do a very good job.

With your problems just keep on harassing them, like you would in real life, say you order a new card for your bank and two weeks later they havent sent it, what do you do? sulk to your friends or get back onto them? I have seen so many updates that have had bugs and within a week or two all problems have been ironed out. This was only released yesterday i am sure this will go the same way.

I agree that something is wrong. So far I have been here almost a month and nothing has progressed for my website.

I've got a forum to run, and there are simple rules

To remove the freedom of speech would have been to
=> Remove the link
=> Lock the topic
=> Ban all members "against" the techies

You're not banned, the topic's not locked, and the link is still there... All in all, I'd say freedom is speech is still present
For the location field: it says "location", not "personal message", once again, I don't see where the issue is

I prefer Typlo over you Caihlem. At least Typlo is helpful, nice, polite and understanding. How on Earth you became an Admin? I have no idea.

By the way... because you're an Admin here, you should know what goes on and why the technicians are useless.

OK, well i am a member on Scamites forum, and obviously an admin if my own, the problem he is having is very annoying. I know the techs are very busy but it would take them about 5 mins to fix the problem..

the update is great stop bitching about it and learn how to use widgets instead
