[Only Topic]Open source softwares
Note to mods : Since I can't moderate anymore, I wait your approval to have this topic marked as Only-topic.
Even if we tend to use paid programs (as known as "proprietary" softwares) such as Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office, etc., we don't always have the money to pay these expensive licences, and piracy (downloading and distributing proprietary softwares with cracks/keygens) isn't advisable because of risks of bugs, and the fact that it is illegal..
For this reason, I make a list of opensource softwares. They are a nice alternative to proprietary softwares, and most of all, they are free, and their distribution is legal because the license (such as GNU GPL, GNU LGPL, BSD, etc.) allow you to distribute copies of these softwares, to study ttheir source, modify it and sell copies, so there is no piracy issue with opensource softwares since the opensource philosopy is based on sharing.
I will sort them by type.

Also, instead of making this a list thread, I thought it would be more interesting to transform it into a discussion thread about open sources
P.S: You missed an important one on the list
