I run on AVG, my bro runs on Avast!

Both defend themselves, but my guess is Avast! is the better one

For those asking why I use AVG then: I can't stand Avast!
Each time you turn on the computer "Virus Database updated", and it sounds so stupid

Post by Eximma on July 3rd 2008, 3:39 am

This topic is going to be very usefull for me !!! Indeed, I'm going to get a new lap-top and I don't really know which antivirus to use :/

On the computer I'm curently using, I've tried Norton, Kaspersky, Bit defender, McAfee and Avast... The ones I prefer are Bit Defender, McAfee and Avast (this one I'm using now). So I vote for Avast Razz

___________

Jus one more thing : when you answer which Antivirus you like, please try at least to explain why and don't just answer "I like this antivirus" : The pool is already here for that Wink (Don't answer this message)

Avast is a good choice. The reason i voted kaspersky is because of it's stong protection, you cannot end it's process in task manager (what if a virus tries to do that?) so it protects very well. If it cannot delete the virus, it will disinfect it, if it cannot disinfect it, it will neutralise it.

AVG. I use the free version (I'm 16) and it is really very good. Get's rid of anything it comes across really. Also I use it with ad aware which is good for getting rid of adware/spyware.

My forum and company are sponsored by Alwil (Avast) and Lavasoft (Ad-Aware) so there is no doubt in my mind lol

Like anything, if you take a fancy to it then that's your mind set, if you don't know how to adjust something then again your minds set on something else lol

Regards
