Grefant beta 2

Post by Jalokim on January 26th 2009, 9:09 am

Well this is the last* of my beta themes. Its another one of those that has a fixed width and possibly widgets don't work on it.

Hitskin didn't make a big mess of the preview... so I'm happy about that. only the navbar got a little mixed up.
Please report anything that may be going wrong... i did test on FF and IE... i also had help in the form of a beta tester... cherry_blossom helped with testing... so if there is anything wrong its her fault... Razz

i really need some feedback...
*i wanna know what type of themes to do
V2 with the fixed widths and cooler designs (with faulty widgets) or V3 ... like boranoran that are meant to work on all resolutions and browsers but the themes arn't that complicated in design...
PM me the feedback or report there... I don't mind

Nice clean theme. I would prefer some other colors & designs in V2.

A fixed width image ... kilsek
The whole forum theme is made to be no wider than 900 pixels... and the category header is about 880 px...
thats the whole problem behind fixed width... it give you really nice potential for themes but kills users with smaller resolutions and those that use forum widgets.

If only the techies added a few more div classes to the css... then there wouldn't be any limits

The green could be a little darker, but it's good overall.

Jalokim,

I like this theme a lot and want to use it but I have found 1 thing that needs fixed and I was hoping you could help me fix this it.

When you click on "Profile" the links at the top are messed up, Can this be fixed ?

1 more thing while I have your attention, Can the top of the first forum widget be set to line up with the top of the first category ?

Like here on the portal page it's perfect

Thanks in advance

I await your reply.

Hi,

That is a browser issue, as it appears fine in Opera. (I am 100% sure as this has came up before).

So this theme will not work correctly in the most popular browser's ...."Firefox" and "Internet Explorer" ?

What's that about ?

You would think theme's would be checked in at least those 2 browser's.

Nothing personal but, I would like to here this from Jalokim ?

Thats fine.

Oh and BTW, the second image is the way it is on all forums. Its because of the extra text for the "recent topics", date etc. to fit in.

Sorry I was offline for a long while... I couldn't get to this.

problem 1 I can fix... just give me the link to your forum.

and number 2 and 3 is normal. Even on this forum you can see that the widget is higher than the forum content... so I cannot align that.
If IPB had template editing I'd be able to help you but it doesn't.

So please send me your link, and I'll fix those profiles
