Submitting

Post by Paper on August 22nd 2009, 4:11 pm

So, I've made a theme (lovin' it), and I want to submit it so I can use it on my forum. BUT, to submit your skin, it needs to be on your forum. So I can't submit it. Help?

Do you have a forum? If so, try to put the skin on it manually, then upload it to hitskin Smile

Hello,
If you created a theme, you can download it to your computer from your forum.

ACP=>Display Tab=>Styles=>Skins management=>Export your theme=>

Select in the drop down list :

~Current Style
~Whole Style

=> Export

And to upload it to your forum :
ACP=>Display Tab=>Styles=>Skins management=>Import it=>Browse your computer and select the theme you exported to your computer=>Import

And,if you want to submit it to hitskin.com for everyone to use, please read this tutorial :

It's .bbtheme

When you export it, you just need to find it and upload it.

You don't need to change the file type.

Your downloading your theme as the file type ~ .bbtheme. [ Example ~ myskin.bbtheme ]

And you need to upload the same file to your forum to gain access to your theme on your forum, Wink [ Importing It ]

So, when I save it, just ad .bbtheme to the file name?

You don't need to add anything...

It will be there already. If it's not, then you can add it, Wink

Make sure that you only have one full-stop and the name of the file before it.

Example :
Code:
myskin.bbtheme

=> Then save,

Can you explain all of the steps you did please?

And, can you give me a link to the forum you want your theme from and the forum's link you would like to upload the theme to?

Also, you can tell me the whole name of the file you saved to your computer?

So, I wrote the CSS for it, then in Notepad, I saved it as skin.bbtheme

Then I tried importing it, but there was a big no-no.

That's the problem...

Try using whatever on a test forum, and use images, css codes, ect and upload it to your forum first.

Then, try exporting it to your computer [you'll have to download it to your computer]. Then use that same bbtheme file you exported to your computer and import it to your forum, thumright
