Solved CSS Stylesheet Question from a Newbie

Post by Christa on November 6th 2009, 9:00 pm

The other day I created a CSS Stylesheet -- don't even remember how I did it.

Anyway, since doing so, I cannot change my font colors the 'easy' way by going to Display, Colors, and changing the color code#.

I really don't want the CSS Stylesheet because I don't know how to edit it. Can I just highlight and delete the current stylesheet coding that I have without distroying my website? In other words, get rid of it entirely?

TIA,

Christa

I think you can disable it ? by clicking on the deactivate button on the bottom of the page but you won't be able to have access to simple colors modification and you won't have access to updates for the Css sheet which could mean the possibility of Bugs

HTH

Thank you Hello

If you delete the CSS stylesheet you created, the forum will turn back to its appearends as it was before you changed the CSS.

This will happend if you have "Deactivate the basic CSS" selected on no.
You couldnt change the font color simply because of the custom CSS.
Altough, if you delete the code part for the font color, your forum will apply the color you select.

I don't know CSS coding at all -- don't know why I even tried the CSS stylesheet.

My main question is if I now diable it or delelte it, will my forum still be okay? I only made one change to a font color before creating the CSS. I could still change that through the regular control panel, right?

If you disable the Css then your forum will be ok, you will just have less to be able to do any modifications but you can activate it again at any time

thank you

Thank you. I did disable the CSS and lost the changes I had made but was able to reconstruct the forum to my liking and now don't have to deal with the CSS that is far too advanced for me!
