Favicon has disappeared?

Was just wondering what could have made it dissappear? It was fine when I logged on this morning, it is an update issue?

My site still has a favicon. May I suggest you go to admin panel, then to General, forum configuration and there should be the favicon select. If this isn't right then a staffer should be more helpful.

Maybe it's just your browser. What browser are you using? And was it a created one for you? If it was, then Internet Explorer can't display them, but FireFox can.

Possibly, It seems to be still selected as my personal favicon, but it just shows as the green speech bubble. I'm also using firefox, so that can't be the problem.

I may try and rehost the image, any ideas on sites that offer .ico hosting? As the usuals don't allow that file format.

I've tried that too Master Marc. I've resynched the forum, cleared my cache... everything. None of the members can see it either, so I'm thinking it must have been deleted by the hosting site I used.

Any ideas on a good hoster to use?

Well,I think you should create an account using photobucket,so the images you upload can be deleted by will.

ImageShack is another good image hosting website.

but they don't host .ico files I don't think.

Actually, if you host an image on PhotoBucket and you put that image on your site, and then later on you delete that image from your PhotoBucket profile, then your image will not show on your site. Just that PhotoBucket message in place of where your image used to be.

Try either Tiny Pic or Image Shack.
