Giving awards

Post by Conknet on November 24th 2008, 12:38 pm

I gave out awards to my members for joining our forum on day 1.

I set it up this way: Admin Panel > Users & Groups > Profiles > Create a personalized profile > Enriched Text >

Now I want to give them all a pin for the different holidays. Using the same award area that I used for day 1.

However when I place the image in the award area in admin. It does not show.

Is ther any way to add images in that area, via the admin panel?

make another personalized profile with
chose an image among a list of preset images

An image among a list of preset images

This allows you to do
the same as the element among a list, but with images. For this to work
you must ad the URL to each image, one per line.

First of all, Psi-chotic is right.

Admin Panel >
Users & Groups >
User -- Profiles >
Create A Personalized Profile >
BUT this time, select An image among a list of preset images >

Then, (In the description) enter this image url first in the line of your pin images ->
http://i35.tinypic.com/2ivd8vm.png

You have to enter that url in the first line before any other images only because the image that's first in line is automatically displayed in EVERY user's profile and post. The url I gave you was a blank image, so therefore no image will show up on anyone's profile/post. For example, if you entered one of your pin/medals's url in the first line of the description, it will show up on every user's profile/posts.
--You are allowed to modify the pin to a user by going to their profile in your admin panel and scrolling down to select it in the Personalized Profile section.--

Hope I helped,

Rok

Thank you for your help, I tried doing the image among a list. When I tried to add a second image, it did not show up on the board. Only the original image showed.

It gave me a choice to click on 1 of the 2 images to preview. But I couldn't autimatically give a second or third award.

EDIT: Hope I can explain clearly. I want the 1st award to ge given on Thanksgiving, Then on Christmas , be able to add the Christmas award, to the members. Keeping the Thanksgiving award, for the members for that day. When giving the Christmas award out, have that show only for new members, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas show for the older members.
