Making a subforum into a category
Hiya again.
Can anyone tell me how I can change something from being a sub forum into a category? I have sections on my forum, that have got several sub forums within it. Some of the sub forums are popular and could do with being a category all of their own but I cant figure out how to do it and am worried to fiddle in case I mess up the forum all together.
Could anyone walk me through the process please?
Thanks

Well, changing a forum into a category isn't possible. But you can move your subforum to any layer of your board - that means you can make it a "main" forum as well, that appears on your index. To do that go to "Forums / Management" and click on the forum you want to move. You will now see a dropdown list that is labeled "Attached to". To move it to the main index, select the very top entry (should be only a "|"). You can also modify the position in the field below that reads "Position this forum after".
