Admin problem (HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

ok i added a vid to show what my problem is. each time you get directed to main admin page. i'm not the host. i cant get my forum up and running because if admin panel problem aint working. admin board works with frames(2) only one open at a time and so due to security the admin board takes you to the main page.

hmmm most annoying problem i've seen...I know it happens quite a lot to me when I'm saving the CSS... sometimes instead of saving the CSS it links me back to the home admin panel.

I would recommend trying to clean your cookies (ctrl+F5)
If it continues then you really have a problem on your forum... please post a message in the technical support forum.

P.S. hows it in SA my boky ? Bet its hot and the braai's are out? Goiemore , .... ? damn I can't remember a thing in Afrikaans ... although I still remember onderweiser heh

dosent help cache cookies all gets cleared. my buddy dot the same problem and he is 250km from me.

think you mean post in ''Need of a technician ?'' and cant post there only admin can. or am i looking at the wrong place?

well its damn hot but will always braai. cant wait 4 sunday. and my main language is afrikaans

Please note of this error.

According to many post on this FAQ site, I have noticed people having problems since around August 2007. I'm quite new to the forums. Regarding the return to the main admin screen all the time no matter what options you press it always jumps right back to the main menu of the administration forum, I tried all the following methods:

- I used Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Mozilla Firefox, Apple's Safari Web browser, Netscape and a few freeware web browsers and all of them gives the same error.

- Cleared my cache and cookies and deleted all temp internet files and folders, as well as restarted.

- Also tried it on 4 different computers, servers, and have proxy disabled. I even tried resetting our ADSL modem, unplugging it but this problem keeps coming up.

Could someone please look into this, and if possible give us reasons why it happens and how we can fix it.

Is it a Forum motion error? or by the many users? Its really frustrating and can't get my forum working because of this. Thanks for the support.

hmm...ya..it's pretty frustrating to me too...i have tried a lot of ways, the weird thing is, it sometimes does work for me, but extremely rarely, but when i tried on my school's computer, it works fine. Some of my other admins have the same problem too,but their's doesn't occur as often as mine, while the others(admin) in other countries doesn't seem to have this problem. it's causing the exact same problem right now as i'm typing this message....any help?

Ok heres exactly what i did.

+ Edit my forum username
+ Did not go through ("Password did not match")
+ re-entered my new username, left the new password option blank

now to get into my admin panel i must log into it. But i cant! it entered my username/password like it says and it doesnt go through!!!
Im getting very agrevated and scared that i cant moderate my forums. Please tell me that there is something that i can do Crying or Very sad

I NEED HELP!

Try your old password sometimes your old one still works before your new one takes affect at least that's what happens to me.

sorry doesnt work. Ive only had one password, ever on the forums. (since the accident it changed) going on a week now, and my problem is still not fixed! the admins on vacation? What the fuck ?!?

Hi - I am new to this forum and I am also experiencing the problem whereby I am continually looped back to the the Home Page of the Admin Panel. I click on Styles for example and the site reloads back to where I selected Styles. I sometimes get further - but when I click on Save I have to start all over again. This is exceptionally frustrating. I am running IE7 and have cleared the cache and nothing seems to work.

I have also noticed that every page I lauch as Admin says - Done, but with errors on page. When I click on the Yellow triangle to get the error - this is what is says:

Line: 460
Char: 111
Error: Object required
Code: 0

Please could someone let me know if this is a general problem on the site and when this matter is going to be resolved? - It really is frustrating Sad

it also happens to me, everytime I Click the styles to change some color font error occurs like yours and just freezed out ... Anybody, help Sad

same thing happened to me...it was ok on this com just two days back.Today every link i click redirects me back to the main page of the admin panel...

i dont think its the problem with computer, internet browser or internet connection as i did not change anything since two days ago...

help pls?

Hello..

i've got the same problem for my Admin Panel Sad

can only add 1 category/forum at a time.. and everytime i click on a link sometimes it will work, but most of the time it will goes back to the Main Page of Admin Panel

Could I kindly ask someone from the Technical Team to advise on the problems we are experiencing with the continual reloading back to the Admin Panel.

The silence with regards to soo many queries makes me wonder what type of support we truly have? Some form of correspondence will be greatly appreciated just to let us know that you have acknowledged the problem.

It has been transmitted to the techs. They normally do not reply to the threads unless they have a question, just like Typlo did above, or until the problem has been resolved.

I would assume they are still working on it as it has not been resolved. But they are well aware of the problem. I am sorry that it is taking so long, but the workload is heavy I would imagine.

Admin can not get back on to site b/c his username and password dont word for some reason now he try to get a new password by got to "forgot password" and its telling him his e-mail dont match to what he reg. what can we do now.

It's still happening to me yes - currently can't admin anything in this state.

**EDIT: All sorted out, it was my ISP after all. I changed to a different one and everything is 100%. I presume it has something to do with the ISP side caching**

This thing happens to me on ALL forums I administrate! And on the ones I moderate, it says "your session has expired". Thats just as irritating!

Noodlez I'm from South Africa too.

It must be something saix is doing with their port-shaping. This forum works 100% on my unshaped (Verizon) account.
