Re: chatbox problems
Hmm,
seems as if that problem depends on the browser.....
With IE I get the Log-In-Link, but with FF I do not......
For sure, this is something the technicians should have a look at
greetz,
alex
Edit: Sry, I didnīt see this before because I use several monitors with different resolutions:
The Problem is that the Log-In-Link disappears as soon as the width of the monitor is less than 1280 pixels. That means with a monitor width of 1280 you see the log-in link, with a width of 1024
(which is used by half of the internet users) you do not.

Re: chatbox problems
Hm... at the moment, the whole chatbox is not working for me. I'll move this one to the Tech's in case this has been missed among the recent problems with the chatbox.

Re: chatbox problems
Hi,
I am one of the moderators on Carphunter's forum, I have seen this problem in different pc's and different browsers, and different resolutions, it is not a universal thing but does happen, and when it does it does not go away, currently I have firefox exhibiting the problem in XP, but not in Linux, I have it in XP and explorer on one user and not on my own in explorer PC ( But I have it on firefox on that PC).
The main problem is, as far as a novice like me can tell, is that in the "chatter's" pane on the left hand side of the chatbox there are the titles "away" and "online", when the problem occurs these titles seem to take up a very long line, on which they are centred, and this produces a scroll bar beneath the chatters pane, as the chat pane seems to sit over this it to seems to have a scroll bar on lower resolution monitors or reduced width windows.
In the non problem versions of this the scroll bars are not visible, and the titles "online" and "away" appear nicely centred in the visible part of the "chatters" pane.
I have built a test chatbox in a dummy forum I created here and it shows the scroll bars, which the old chatbox did not, but the titles seem to be OK.
I think that maybe a techie could look at the style sheets or formatting of the chat box as it might be corrupt, it could be that latest updates of browsers may be handling the code differently, as this problem did not occur for everyone at the same time, but as with me it is happening on more different browsers as I gradually update different machines.
