When an image is uploaded by a member, it says the gallery has no images, but on the front page of the gallery, on a category, it shows the same image. It has to be approved by a moderator, but it's still there, even when it's unapproved it is still there, the image has to be deleted.
Also, when an image is approved or unapproved, can you set it so that a private message is sent to the owner of the image saying something like 'your image has not been uploaded because...' or 'Your image has been uploaded to the gallery!'

Interesting I had never noticed that before. In my gallery I only have the category, not an album, that members can upload to, then as I approve the picture I move it to the correct album, so I have never noticed this before. I tried it as you said and you're right, the unapproved image shows up as the album picture, unless you have specified a specific picture for that album, even though inside the album the picture isn't there(because it hasn't been approved yet).

As for the second part of your question, you can't send a PM, but I think its a great idea. I send PMs manually right now for all the pictures, whether I approve or unapprove them, I don't know why I didn't think about automating that. I would say make a suggestion in the suggestions section, I'd definitely vote for it.

There isn't a gallery set up for this forum, you'd have to host them yourself then link them. You can use the servimg account, or create another free account somewhere to host them. I don't need to see images though, because I understand what you're seeing, if the techs need to see it they'll probably ask for some screen shots.

So in simpler words, what is the exact problem that is happening to where it makes this a tech issue? I am just asking because I want to be able to recognize the problem, if others come in with the same thing, so I can direct them here. Maybe I am just not comprehending well tonight. When you create an album you have an option to specify a picture to be used for that album. However, if you don't specify a picture it just takes the last picture to be uploaded to that album and uses that as the representative picture for that album. The problem here is that the forum has the album set up so that the admin, or moderator, has to approve a picture before it is actually visible. So if I upload a picture to one of these albums, it tells me that it needs to be approved first before it will be visible. At this point if you go into the album it isn't there, because it hasn't been approved yet; however, it does show up as the representative album picture. This causes a couple of problems, first, you can see the picture on the album, but when you open up that album the picture isn't there. This could cause some confusion. The other, probably bigger, problem is what happens if somebody uploads a picture that is inappropriate? This is probably why you set up moderation in the first place, so people don't see these pictures, you can just reject them, but if that happens that picture will show up as the album picture until it gets deleted, so until somebody comes around to moderate it everybody can see this inappropriate picture. I hope that makes sense.
