Mass email notifications on all posts regardless if disabled

I am the owner of a forum and am suddenly being emailed notifications of posts on watched topics that I am not watching! I think I am recieving them everytime a post is made and its drving me insane! Please help!

Edited title to help describe better for techs and others who might want to add to the list of who is being effected with this problem. Skittles

yes!! me too, i just came here to post the same thing. emails for topics im not watching and emails for getting pms (which i have disabled). thought i was going 'bonkers'.....

Snap, how can we stop it, I thought I was going nuts, I am getting an email everytime someone responds to a post!

Go to your profile -> Preferences -> Always notify me of replies Also Notify me by email if someone reports a post
You may be getting this because in the topics or posts this is selected:so go through all you posts and unselecet them.

You sure you looked in all the threads and stuff because i have never noticed this bug before and there is many things i have helped with in my post above.

I had already done what you suggested above, but it hasnt worked. The difference as well is that the emails are going to a different email address to the one on my profile.

i have them both unticked and i am still getting many emails!

how about all the threads you have posted in? and topics?

its mostly topics that i havent posted in!!

me too, I havnt posted in any of the topics, nor have I even looked at them, it must be a bug in the system, as why are we all suddenly getting these email notifications.

Check your drafts favorites and watched topics..

i dont have any watched topics...... that is the point!

I think it is a glitch! Its coming for posts I havent even looked at let alone chosen to watch!

its times like this that you wish your forum wasn't so busy... my inbox is filling up like a very fast filling up thing!!

Uber, just a hint....if several people come in with the same problem at the same time, it usually means it is a glitch or technical difficulty.

Moving to Techs

Please be patient while the Techs take a look into this. It might take awhile, depending on the status of the other problems they are working on as well. We're sorry you are going thru these problems.

The tech most generally will not reply once this is moved in their section unless they have a question or until it is fixed.

nope im still getting them, hopefully it should stop soon....driving me nuts it is....
