Solved (Caihlem, need help!) Founder password lost[solved]

Post by Rok on November 26th 2008, 7:05 pm

Hello,

If you lost your password to reach your forum or the tools, please contact only ONE PERSON by PM : Typlo (away on week-ends) or Eximma by this following way :

Title of your message :
- Founder password lost if you totally lost your password (to reach your forum and the tools)
- Tools password lost if you can't reach the tools anymore (the password is the one you used when you created your forum).

The message itself :
Indicate the url of your forum and the email you used when you created your forum :
Forum address :
Creation email :

If you have a doubt about the email you used, make a list of all the emails you have. Like this, you will have an immediate and a faster answer. If you are using a personalized domain name, please provide the last forum address you had (like http://yourforum.forumotiondomain.com).

However, an important point : DO NOT write these two information (your forum url and the creation email) in a topic on this forum !

Thanks in advance,
ForuMotion Staff.

Messages: The e-mail address you supplied does not match the one listed for that username.

You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password.

My forum address is link removed

Please be refered to this site (HERE) too, as for it holds my problem.

Hello Hi rokstrsk83rdude, I'm so sorry for all the problem you're having with your forum right now. :/

But don't worry, I'm sure Caihlem can reset your password for you and help you regain access again. Send him a PM about this ( If you haven't already ) and I'm sure he'll help work this out for you. Wink

Thanks so much Nessa for making me feel that there is a chance. But, I would know that Caihlem never replies to PMs or can't get to them. I'll just set the title of this to something that would catch his eye.

Maybe there was a glitch in the system which allowed the other admin to at least get into your details and change it before the glitch stopped??

Well, yea. But, from what I saw and heard on my forum is kind of mixed up. Read the link i provided in the first post. Anyways, Caihlem (nor Typlo) doesn't reply to PMs. They would most likely take topics to sight.

Since you lost your founders password, that means you can't even access the forum right? If you have other administrators in your forum, can you ask them to change your password first, then access your forum with that password. Meanwhile, wait for Caihlem to answer to your call, I'm sure that he has a reason to reply so late. Hope that helped Smile

Post by Rok on November 26th 2008, 10:51 pm

TianHua, actually it's not my password that I'm missing. Co-admins cannot moderate the main admin's account, so they cannot change anything in the first place, or just try to help be fixing things. So therefore, they cannot change my password nor email. If they could, then I would of already done that. The only source that it seems to be coming from is a hacker. As I said in my previous post (before this one), click the link provided in the very first post in this topic so you'll understand fully on what is being experienced.

Thanks for helping though Wink. Also, I'm trying to be patient, but the stress is getting to me where I feel I will lose my whole site. This is worse than what it seems to you. I may have to lose my whole forum because of this, or create a different account and live as a co-admin on my own forum I created.

Solved Re: (Caihlem, need help!) Founder password lost[solved]

Post by Rok on November 27th 2008, 8:41 am

I'm sorry for double-posting, but I have important informtaion to share about this.

I logged in to one of my admin's email. I went to my profile, then I saw my email was changed (which is what I stated) to edited to remove email addy. I backspaced that out, and then entered my real email and my password I had since forever, then saved it. It said that only the founder could modify his own profile.

This is a true mistery because the co-admins aren't able to modify the founder's account, so it couldn't of been one of my admins. It must be a hacker, but what if the hacker is the admin? I really need help, and once an admin on this support forum can help me, I want to find out WHO this person is.

edited to remove email addy. Even if it wasn't a real addy, making it clickable can draw in spambots.

I wonder, do any of these break downs, mean anything to you?

Maybe ring any alarm bells?

If you can think of other ways that breaks down, great.. but that's all I have.

THIS is why I suggested that our Forums have Founder password Questions, not just a password... you'd have one shot to by-pass the question before you are locked out.

All you'd have to do is answer the question you set as long as you remember the answer, would solve all this rubbish.

Also, try the caps lock, and try upper and lower case, then use that email and place your Founder name.

Sorry for your loss buddy, I have been there too.

~DS~

Solved Re: (Caihlem, need help!) Founder password lost[solved]

Post by Rok on November 27th 2008, 12:58 pm

I tried everything to login. Nothing worked. Someone changed my email and I witnessed it when my co-admin let me use his account to log into the admin panel and change my email (which is impossible because co-admins cannot modify the main admin's account or profile).

Also, I know it's Thanksgiving for America, but does that really mean that the admins cannot take a small 2-minute brake to check things? Anyways, I would love them to have fun and take time off of the forum, but people do have technical problems Wink.

Exactly Couldbe. Why would it take so long just for one little thing? All I want is an admin to help me out, but I'm not getting anywhere. Could some admin please help me!

I remember when I made that suggestion about having more staff members, and this is what I clearly meant. There needs to be more staff members to help people. I don't even know why there is a third admin (Lol), and he/she only has several of posts. But, I need much help, and it's not being granted :pfff: .

Caihlem, I'm very sorry. I should do this myself for my rude behavior and impatience (even though I don't have the smartness as Caihlem or Typlo). Sorry Sad..

Caihlem, beu I'm sorry. Please, I just don't want to lose something I enjoy doing everyday. You're the only one that is capable of helping, and I turned you against me (which I shouldn't have done). All I ask is will you accept my sorriness and please help me?

CAIHLEM!!! PLEASE!! Pretty pretty please!! I need YOUR help badly. I'm relying on you, and your like a hero. I don't want to be left down ... . Just please, I'm always answering everyone else's questions, but this time, I really need help..and your the only one that can actually help me. I worked hard on my forum, but oh well. It was one of the best things I ever get to do whenever I'm home. I don't want it to be shut down just because of a hacker. I did nothing to deserve this, but I did everything to deserve bringing you down on what I said. I truley need your help, please Caihlem, please..

May I suggest two things..

One, Apologise VIA a P.M.. to Caihlem.

Two, Take a DEEP breathe and step back a bit, ask Caihlem for help via a P.M if for no other reason than to save your own dignity.

Saying please, please, please..*cry* * cry* on the boards, doesn't help you at all.
