i remember there was a way to insert a chat to our forums.

so first of all how can i do that?

and can someone pls give me a forum link that has the chat so i can see how is it please?

Go to your Admin Panel >> General >> Chatbox, click yes to activate chatbox.

does everyone else sees the notice "me is Disconnected on Mon 17 Mar 2008 - 13:23" ?

After you have activated your chat box remember you can ban and kick people,


/ban then username
/kick then username

Hi,

Once you have logged out and it says who ever disconnected

everyone CAN see that as it helps people to know who is logged in and who is not

For example, you can add the chatbox code in your portal. Go to "Modules / Portal / Portal Pages Management / Structure" and create a new block. Be sure you see a green "+" above your editing box, if it's a red one, click it once and return to the edit page. Fill in the fields and add your chatbox-code in the "block source" field. Click "save" and return to the structure site, where you now can add your module by selecting it in the "Addition/deletion of personal modules" and choosing a location within the portal.

i think t heres already a chat box that you can add into your portal, its part of the "Addition of existing modules" in the portal page managment, than structure area.

you can make one yourself
admin panel>> Modules>> html page management >> create new htmlpage.
paste in the code the site gives you and voila your done
than just submit the link somewhere on your forum, as a nav button or in a forum. or post the code just simple into a forum description or in a post itself. mess around with it for a little bit
