Favicon Problem

My favicon was working at first but now it wont

It is possible i just save the picture then upload it to photobucket?

I cant find a way to make the .gif file show

you can't have a gif file as a favicon, you need a .ico file to be uploaded as a favicon.

yes you can sanket - mine is a png file, and the favicon i did for my friends forum is gif. I saved the image to photobucket then put the direct link in the forum favicon bar. Both favicons are working fine.

When i had done the same, it didn't show up.
