No, no... for example:

"Sep. 12 2009, 16:54, by EkoMan

I love this job!"

But i want to change the date of his post, i want it to look like he published it on July 5 2006. How could I modify the post date?

I can't see you being allowed to do that, it sounds fraudulent to me.

Not if it's immoral. It's the same as we can't read members PMs and quite rightly so, I member someone asking to do that once.

You cannot do whatever you want on an internet forum even if you are the admin, that is why Forumotion have a Terms Of Service.

Changing the post date is not immoral. For example, on your own blog you can change date of your post, when you want...

A blog is your own so I suppose you can lie if you want, but this lie would affect someone else.

Well, why there is not an option just to change date of your post and not the date of the another's post...

A pointless debate if you ask me. :TT;

Changing the date of a post, is like change the post number of someone & reading other members' PM's; It's impossible here on forumotion Wink

No it can not be done
plus even if it could.you would never be able to add a date before the date of the forums creation.
so like said above.it dose seem like a rather pointless debate

To point out the obvious, if you wanted to datestamp something as history (which for example we do for roleplaying and calendar events set in the past) why not just edit the title to show the date it's supposed to be? ala:

01/01/2001 - Thread Title.

it's not rocket science Razz

as for making your site not look like it was done yesterday, really the best bet to fix that problem is CONTENT ala Posts and lots of it Smile
