i removed the links at the bottom

Hello
my Forum URL is : www.sharingmonster.ace.st
and tell me whats my skin style ? PhpBB or ....ect i dont know thier names// i really want to hide to change them and i really dont want to break the rules..

i saw two topic .. first one was explaining how to remove thoese links at the bottom .. free forum,free forym massege and other stuff

and i read the 2nd topic and it was saying your forum can be banned

anyway i am asking mods and admins of Forumotion to tell me my forum will be banned.. thts against the rules ?
and if so .. i already removed it
if its against rules tell me the way to get it back

i am using a theme.. and the name of theme is in the bottom too.. can i remove this ?

Your forum will be banned, so theres no point in answering the other two problems

You are only allowed to remove contact,stats or report abuse.
all the other have to stay it is forumotions policy that they remain there.

Also you may want to keep the re[port abuse link too.this way the reports will go to you if anything is reported. so it lets you deal with the problem so forumotion dont have to come in and deal with it.

to get them back just use the default code. i believe that is the over all footer = bottom of the page? you can get the default code and publish them.

As far as the skin goes. i believe that has to stay there. it's most likely who created the skin but i am not 100% sure on.

for your third question. If you dont see where to log into you panel at the bottom of the page you can log in through your panel from using this link.

Well at one time i believe it was ok to remove all of the links in the footer.
but that is not the case anymore. the only links you can remove from the footer now are. [statistics] [report abuse] and [contact]

all of the other have to stay or you can lose your forum.
as far as the skin question i can not confirm this so another staff member will have to answer to confirm it to be sure.


But to get your footer back with the links you have to republish the default template code.

go to
Admin panel>display>templates>general.

scroll down to (overall footer= bottom of the page) right there you will see default.
click on that and the code will come up. copy that code and add it to the template then hit save. after you hit save be sure to scroll back down and click on the green + sign/icon to publish.. so then thats that you will have the footer links back and you wont have to worry about losing your forum.

And as far as your other question. once again i will have to find out. but i believe that would have to stay as well

be sure to save anything that was added to the template before adding the default so you can put it back.
i have noticed you have the jump box there as well as some social network sites etc.. to share at. if you are unsure. you can post the template code you have now so you dont lose them at the bottom of the page. it's most likely placed at the very bottom of the template code. but if you are unsure just post the template you have so we can fins and save theme codes for you to add back to the default template code after you republish it.

also are you the founder/owner of the forum now with access to the admin panel as the founder? because only the founder can edit templates.

To stay on the safe side it is advised to have a link to forumotion on your footer.

if the forumotion link is not present , the forum can be deleted.
As kirk mentioned its also advised to keep the report abuse link, as its a precaution for your forum and for your members.

this is my forum!

i am on all day hope to see you ON too

basically i need your template codes.

first i need your default one. then i need the one that has been edited.
all i am going to do is add the codes for your jump box and social network sharing thing you have in the footer now. to the default code.

then your footer will be back to normal and you will still have the jump box and social network thing.

So step by step directions.
First go to

Admin panel>display>templates>general.

scroll down to (overall footer = bottom of the page)
right there you will see where it says (default value) click on that and copy the whole code and post here in code tags.

ok now go back to the same place. (over all footer= bottom of the page)
and click on the orange gear icon/modify. once again copy the whole code and post here.

i will then fix the code for you and explain how to go back and republish it.

i told you above more then once witch ones you can remove and which ones you can not. you can remove these. [statistics] [report abuse] and [contact]all other have to stay.

to remove them you have to scroll through your template and find them.
As far as the skin name i have also said i was not sure? i would think it has to stay.
it\'s a hit skin free for the public so i believe they want the name to remain.
i will pm jalo he should know.

if you like give me your footer code and i remove the footer links that are allowed to be removed.i know templates can be confusing and you have to take your time to find the right parts to take out. after doing it a few times you start to understand it a lil better.

and let me go over and check out your footer just to make sure there is not a few other that might be in there you can remove.. not all skins are the same with that or i would have just did it with one of my forums codes.

since you have free forums in there twice you can remove one of those as well.

but the report abuse you should keep. that goes to you if you ever get a complaint about something.

it's the facebook code thing. i can put it above the footer links in the center or to the left or the right. but thats whats doing it.
