new member no account

Hi all can some one help me out here please
i have this new member that has come in and postsed in my help desk telling me that he made an account with my site and its not sent him a e-mail and when i went in to my user settings to ok it ...hmm he was not there.

is there away of finding out if he did mess up on he's account and was not ever set up ..so that is why he's account was not added ?

And one other thing i want to make one of my mods admin with me and i added her to my admins page and she become red like i am, Is there away i can make her go back to pink without making me go in the same color ?

ok for the first one. i would double check to make sure he is not there.
sometimes activation links can go to the persons spam folder in there email.

but here's how to find out. go to users/groups and check and see if there is any inactive users. if so then just activate him..if he's not there either tell him to register again. or you can register him your self if you wish?
just get his email address that he wants to use. then he can change the password you provide him to what he wants once he is in.



the color thing???? i cant remember I\'ll have to go to my place and remember how i did it b/f.

yea i just tried a few things and it did not work with the color thing.
my brain is not working today.. just hang in there i\'m sure a mod admin or fellow member can help.i could have sworn i have done this b/f? my bad.
i have like 6 places and 3 diff host.. so sometimes certain settings/panels tend to beat me up a Lil .. lol

For your second question just go to Group Administration , then add Moderators order "0" and admin order "1" so you will appear red and she will appear rose

nope.
actually, yes it dose change their color and will go back to pink and she remains an admin.
but now the head admin color changes to pink as well.
i just tried it at my place.
see that funny b/c my other admins remain the same color other then the one i have changed.
i think why my color changed as well is b/c you cant take your self out of any groups you created.
as the creator/head admin, your in the top of every group and can not remover yourself..

is there another way?

I have the same issue. I created a new forum as "admin" of course and made my secondary login as a normal member "Irish"

No activation email so I went in manually. Irish doesn't exist. So I decided to register the name again. Says its taken? It appears my registration went through as "Irish" is a name already taken but why no email and why isn't the name listed as a user?

ok Thank kirk and christos i have done the new user bit he's account was not ever made he was not in my settings i have asked him to re make he's account and he said he will try again
as for the the mods one im about to try that Thank you if it don't work i will post back

EDIT: Nope i have made them like you said and it makes the other member red or it makes me go blue so that is not it

have you tried running the name in you search.
go to user/groups and you will see the search. if that dont come up, and the username is taken, not in you inactive users and never activated.
then yea somethings up with that.. sounds like a tech issue..

but try doing the search again first.

>Admin Panel.
>Users And Groups
>Group Administration
>Click On The Group That Your "Friend" Is In.
>Remove Her From That Group.
> Go Back To Group Administration.
>Then Click On The Group You Want Her In.
>Then Just Add Her There.

I beleive you cannot make more than one account, unless you use a different computer address.

But i created it..I need the answer from admin or moderators. I request them to pardon me .

If you have registered successfully, but did not get the activation email, your account status is pending. That means the username is taken (you can't register with the same name anymore) but you cannot use the account yet. Pending members can be found and manually activated in "Admin Panel >> Users & Groups >> Inactive Users".

@asshu:
1.) You can create one account per email-address.
2.) If you go to "General / Configuration" or in your profile preferences, you will see a list of all supported languages.

ok i added her to my admin group but each time i add her to the admin group she go's from pink to red
i need her to stau as the pink she is now
is there away ?

asshu: What do you mean with mail ID? On each forum you can only create one account with the same email address. You can also only create one forum with one email address.

Ape man: Probably it helps if I explain the colorize-function a little more detailed. When you go to the Usergroups management in "Users & Groups", you will see all your groups listed. The very left column shows the order of a group. This order defines how a user is colored if he is in more than one group - the group with the lowest order has the highest color priority.

That means, just create a group where you place your co-admin in, make him the group-moderator and remove yourself so he is the only one in that group. Set the color appropriately and set the order to a lower value than your admin group.

EDIT: If you have already a moderator-group (the pink one you mentioned) and you are not in that group, you can directly change the order to a lower value than the admin group.

1Telugu language is being supported .But , it's failing to accept as a title.I mean the title field show some unknown symbols instead of that language.But as a post it's supporting.
