Could someone have a look at my chatbox too?, it seems to function correctly but the problem is at the bottom of the chatbox where the table border is, its covering up just enough of it to partially cover the text area where you write the message at all along the bottom border, its very difficult to get your cursor in that text field becuase its only partially showing. It looks like a sizing issue of sorts. I looked at it with both IE and firefox and its the same on both browsers.

Thanks

My chatbox is working ok now, it still isn't putting people to away like it used to and the auto scroll is working only sometimes. Thanks for the fast responses to everything that happened over the weekend. I know a lot of people complained, but if you aren't making any changes the sites not going to get better, and if you are there are always chances of having some issues. I also have paid for some upgrades and I am fine with issues as long as forumotion keeps getting better.

I would first off like to thank the Technical Team for bringing things back to normality - however, I am still experiencing the following problems with my chat box:-

We are getting logged out and 2 seconds later logged back in without doing anything? Although the below image is a brief example - it happens up to 20 to 30 times?

Auto-scroll is intermittant - it works for a few seconds and then you have to scroll down to see the latest message.

We are getting disconnected with no apparent reason and then the Auto refresh checkbox is unchecked and has to be rechecked 3 or 4 times until it works?

Away Status does not show any longer? The people in the chat remain Online permanently.

The font of the Online Members has lost its Style Sheet?

Please can you advise how this can be rectified? My forum address is http://chillout.forumandco.com/index.htm

Your assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to a response soonest.

I actually over estimated the fixedness of my chatbox.

- The Chatbox shows the FORUM background instead of the background it usually does, which I assume is part of the CSS but don't know enough about these things to know for sure.

- The words ONLINE MEMBERS as well as the list beneath it has lost it's font and size info and uses my browser's defaults.

- AUTOSCROLLING doesn't work. The only time it scrolls is WHEN YOU YOURSELF POST A MESSAGE.

I think that is all the bugs that are left. This is a link to my forum.

as for mine:

-auto scroll still not working
-borders around the chatbox not showing
-im sure the message bit was on the right side not the left with colors on the left.
- the @next to chatbox mods whould be white not black
-still cant use any chatbox commands(ie /kick, /me etc)

i think thats it for now Smile

Chat box and forum errors all ok @ 8am
Mornings here everything seems to work ok
in the evening though problems are back again
probably when the servers are bussiest
still a bandwidth problem I think
I will watch to see what happens in the evening again

still errors in the chatbox, autoscroll not working, autoscroll not working right rewuiring frquent clears, logging members off yet they can still post??? and text background different colour than chatbox background.
I go away for two days and expect good news from my members about the chat when I get back but instead get more complaints.
How much longer are we going to have to wait for the chatbox fixes?

Sorry to report back that things have not changed - we are still being disconnected on an Ad Hoc basis - the people are now being disconnected as opposed to be showing Away - the Atuo-scroll does not work and the Auto-refresh is not working properly either.

The Fonts for Online and the names of the ppl Online is still wrong and has not been rectified???

Please can you explain what is going on and when it will be fixed?

And the MOST frustrating part is the disconnection and reconnection every 5 seconds or so - this did not happen that much during the day - but the evenings are a nightmare - is this due to your server concurrency ????? - I am in two minds as to whether this is going to remain a viable option - please - all I need to know is that you are working on it PLEASE!?

Thanking you in advance

Yeah. I'm still in the same position as well... only auto-scrolls when you post, not when others post. Periodically it doesn't even refresh unless you post. The background is still from the forum's main background and not the chatbox colors... the names and the words "Online Users" are using browser defaults and not the forum's main font... inside the Box and the links for logging out et al are in the right font though.

The same thing is happening for ALL our members, no matter what browser they are using. I right now just tested it on IE 6, and I predominantly use Firefox 3. All other users are reporting the same experience.

I'm sorry the partial fix just isn't good enough its very amateurish and has "broke" far more than the "update" was meant to fix.
Do you realize if the databases were available that you would probably lose half of your customers?

It's not bandwidth for us... the errors in the Chatbox I mentioned have been consistent at all times of day. But I've never gotten that error message.

Progress!! The scrolling and auto-refreshing are working exactly as they are supposed to! Now the only thing left with my forum is the fonts being browser defaults and not from the forum's theme or CSS or stylesheet or whatever.

I'm testing the timing out now... but the scrolling working properly makes me soo happy!

Okay, the timing out still doesn't work, and now... I just discovered that when you are set to away (like with the /away command) it turns the auto-refreshing off and you have to click the check box again.

Weird. Very Happy

Why not let us choose whether we want to use the old chatbox or the new chatbox? To be honest, we at Pokémon Arena can deal with the problems that the old version had, and would just like to use that one.
