Hello,
yes sorry if I didn't say anything it's because I had enough details to provide to techs, so they are working on it right now
Hi Typlo - do you have any feedback on the Chat Box? All of the problems I posted on the previous page are still in existence - nothing seems to have been fixed as yet. Are they still working on the Problems?

The chatbox seems to be fixed, except that it is randomly disconnecting users. I have been disconnected several times while busy typing a message.

Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
Yeah my chatbox is disconnecting users all the time and very quickly also.
Otherwise I think things are getting better in the chatbox area.
Keep at it!

Techs have been working on them and I actually thought it was solved, sorryon which browser is this encountering and is it possible to have maybe specific screenshots to help them work faster?
cheers
Typlo - I am using IE 7 and will post screenshots when I get them. However, in the interim, the biggest issue is the people getting logged out and back in every few seconds. If the person is idle - they used to move into the Away status after about 5 minutes and were disconnected if idle for 15 minutes. Now - the person is disconnected if idle for 5 minutes - is it not possible to put the settings back to what they were before this upgrade? It truly is frustrating for everyone concerned and now my friends sometimes do not even bother coming back.
The font under the Online section has also need been fixed?

That sounds exactly the same as what I am seeing on my chatbox.
My chatbox has people in it 90% of the day too so it is starting to look like a Christmas tree in there.

Hi Typlo - I just logged on now to see how things were progressing and managed to get a screen shot of exactly what I am referring to in terms of being logged on and off all the time - this is ludicrous

Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
My chat is now randomly logging people IN and although I can use the /kick and /exit codes and it says they/ I have been Disconnected the reply box and "log out" are still visible.
Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
The chatbox is still screwed up badly despite messages saying its fixed.
The one on the bottom now logs you in as you log in to the site?
If you can't fix the new one put the old one back as it was 110% better than the present rubbish faults included.
The sites css is still screwed up as well with the images only showing for some of the places it should be.
Or find a coder that knows what he/she is doing and hire them!

I have to agree with you 100% - I am really frustrated now - Things seem to work for a while and then the wheels fall off. Please technical team - I beg you - put the Chat Box back to what it was before you put in the Upgrade!! - Please tell me you made a back-up of the code???

*Copy above problems
*Paste in this message
*End
I'm having the same issues as the last few posters, members are being logged in and out of the box seemingly whenever it autorefreshes itself. I also have a screenshot of the box, I pressed nothing (aside from my text at the top) in this time period.

As well as 'away' not being displayed and the messages not scrolling up automatically I am now being logged in and out without even doing anything on the chatbox.

Mine is doing the same thing. Its even changeing some posts in the forums to Spanish. Mine is pretty bad shape
Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
Will it ever be fixed?
I'm beginning to wonder as we have been promised several times that its fixed but the problems are all still there apart from the default text being black.
We have even got some new faults and no updates or very few from the staff.

Ok, I have a some internet channel users from wii, and they cant chat. Like when i pulled up the keyboard it went away and keeps doing that, unable to chat on wii. Will this problem be fixed when the chat is fixed or are these other seperate problems. Because this happend the same time the update did.
Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
I've been having issues with the Chat Box for a few days now. It first started when the background of the Chat Box changed. Instead of having a solid backing every other post has a white or gray background. It makes it incredibly hard to read the posts and my members have been complaining about it for a while. (This is really irritating.)
The second thing that happened was when you entered something into the Chat Box it would scroll up instead of down.
Also, the bottom portion of the Chat Box (The Bold, Italics, Underline, where you write) is half hidden.
Lastly, when members go to the site they are automatically logged into the Chat Box. If you disconnect it connects you back right away.

Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
Chatbox is really far away from being fixed.
It Keeps Disconnecting users. The fonts on the side are still weird.
Also Each time someone goes to the site. Chatbox Automatically logs them in.
Which In my roleplay is quite a problem.
So... Pleasee I beg. Fix this!

Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
I am experiencing problems that seem to be different from the norm, so I would really appreciate some sort of response as to what is going on / will happen with the bugs we (my members and I) have been experiencing.
- The chatbox is logging out / putting people 'away' properly... except for you. You stay listed as online at all times, even if you are actually disconnected. Let me explain... if you abandon the chatbox for the required amount of time, and you hit the refresh button ON YOUR BROWSER, then it updates the list and shows that you aren't on it anymore... otherwise you stay listed as online for hours and hours.
- when you MOUSEOVER the chatbox, it logs you in. This is crazy for Admins because we need to read the archives without getting logged in whenever our mouse crosses the threshold. This only happens once though... because of the bug below.
- Whenever you log out or go "away", the auto-refreshing is shut off and you have to manually check the checkbox to re-activate it. Because after you sign out of the chatbox, the auto-refresh turns of (and can't be reselected) it doesn't show you as signing in again if you mouseover after signing out... even though it might happen. I will test this.
- The only thing that is the same with the other guys is that the font for the online / away lists are still using browser default fonts and not the forum's font.
- These bugs are all happening with all browsers I can test with. (Firefox 3, IE 6, Safari.)

Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
I was signed into a chatbox and it randomly logged me out and I had to log in again. This is happening on all the forums I go on and it is getting quite annoying.

(EDIT: No, it doesn't happen again, unless you refresh the page, or navigate away from it and then navigate back to it later on.)
oh and my link, once more with feeling.
And also, the kick command will not work, even if you right click their name on the contact list and select kick user.
Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
Im having the same issue with logging people out. They are all using IE or Firefox.
Re: [Only-Topic] chatbox bug after the update
I keep getting signed into chat also and I've used Google Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, and Opera thinking it was my browser. But it wasn't my browser. Its some chatbox glitch I'm guessing. Has there been any progress as to finding a solution?
