Solved Resync

Post by Crank on November 5th 2009, 7:21 am

After removing/deleting topics/posts, the post count remains as normal.

Is there a way to resync all post counts so it is their correct post count?

It would change in a while.

First of all, thank you for your quick response.

So, basically, what you're saying is by time, this will automatically change by itself?

Also, is there no manual way of doing it. For example: If I was to remove all posts, and one user has 1000+ posts, how long would that take for it to reduce back to 0?

After deleting the posts, the post count will go down. It generally doesn't take time, however in your case it seems it did.

For 1000 + posts, you have to remove them one by one.

Basically, what I did was to remove all categories and boards. Deleting all posts, topics so I can start a fresh.

After doing so, my users have still got their post counts, and the board statistics still show 4603 messages.

That is what I am wanting to reset back to 0.

Sorry for the trouble ^^

Ok, firstly, i'd like to apologise for the double post.

The reason I am double posting is because some progress has been made with this problem and it's almost solved.

The board stats have reset to 0 now, however the users post counts are still the same. Will these also reduce in time?

Hello

yes, the user stats should reduce in time, however if you want to reset a users' post count & PM Mailing count to 0 now you can do:
Admin panel >> General ( Tab ) >> Forum / Configeration >> Misc options > "Update the number of posts for a user and set his number of private messages to 0 :" = Type in the users' name & hit save Wink

Thank you for a quick reply, Darren. Your help has been greatly appreciated.

Doing that for 300+ members could get rather annoying, and I simply don't have the time to do it all today lol.

Is there any easier way to reset all users posts to 0 using that option? If not, I guess I can wait Wink
