Wibiya Toolbar? How to add to forum?

Post by Kronos on November 6th 2009, 11:24 am

Hey, I recently asked the technicians about adding the toolbar to my forum because i a m using it on my own site but when i place the code it doesn't seem to work.....

I asked them and they said they were asked before and said it was possible......

they gave me another code to try and it didn't work so the said it would be best to request a technician from forumotion so that it can be added......

I wanted to see if anybody knew and if not if i can get some technical support.......

Take the toolbar code, open template editing, open overall footer template, add the code before </body> tag and save, then press green plus to activate template and you've got your toolbar.

Copy and paste the toolbar code into your homepage message which can be activated through

ap==>Display==>Generalities

Unless you convert your forum to PhpBB2 or PunBB the only place you can put it is in the generalities. Wink

he might be able to get it to work through the announcement. i do not have the code so i cant test it. but if the code works there it can be on every board he just has to set the announcement settings.

Admin panel>general>announcement.

Activate announcements. = yes
Announcements display = all pages
Scrolling = deactivate
then hit save.

now go back and create a announcement place the code in there then hit save.

You can most likely do it through css. but you would have to ask ankillian about that one.

Also depending how large the code is you might even be able to add to the forums description.. but the announcement should work.

Kirk I believe bimcas2 post the code
Code:
<script src='http://toolbar.wibiya.com/toolbarLoader.php?toolbarId=19274' type='text/javascript'></script>

I've just chucked it into my site description and it loaded at the bottom of my page, so we know it works there Smile

EDIT: It also works fine in the scrolling announcements section; it just doesn't display the rolling announcements bar.

EDIT 2: It also works fine in the Overall_Footer template Mr. Green

i tried on the home page message,announcement and the templates.

nothing at all

<script src='http://toolbar.wibiya.com/toolbarLoader.php?toolbarId=19274' type='text/javascript'></script>

you know what. this is nothing but a link to dl the software/file in your computer.
it's not going to show up like that. it's probably a text file with other links or something in there to run the software?

i dont even know what this is.. lol http://toolbar.wibiya.com/

this is what comes up for me when you go to this dl link.
http://toolbar.wibiya.com/toolbarLoader.php?toolbarId=19274

name: toolbarloader.php
type: Microsoft digital Image Document, 2.61 KB
From: toolbar.wibiya.com

so i dint dl it. i dont know what it is?

what about what dotdavid said. i am not going to try it because i dont know what it is.. lol what is it.

It won't appear on all pages but this is the most simplest way, and technically, the correct way. ACP / General / Search Engines / Additional Tags / / Link JS
