How to make usernames more simple...

Ehm...You change their username to a character name ? Or you make a rank ? Or a group ? Or a profile field ?

Ok I am going to try explain my self again, because I guess no one understood me.

I would like people to be able to sign in to there accounts on my forum with there short usernames, like for example:



But in that spot I don't want there short usernames to be shown and only there character names will show like for example:



But also that they don't have to login in with there character names and only with there short usernames, that way its more of breeze to login in than have to type the whole character name.

I know that this can be down in other forums that I have been on, but I would like to do that on mine now, and I am not sure how to do it. So if someone could be so wonderfully kind and help me out.

Not possible, the name you log in with is the name you see.
