I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO ADD A FAVICON!!!

I've tryed everything! I searched and looked at EVERY post, didn't work. I looked at the guide, didn't work. I searched on google to see if there are any tips, didn't work! Why cant I add the stupid thing! I get the url! I make it on a blank page! I do everything right but it doesn't work! If you need to know my browser its IE. If you know a way that 100% going to work on ALL browsers than I would really like to know how.

I dont know! But this is reallt ticking me off. All I want is a step-by-step guide on HOW to do it. I already read the guide and its out-of-date.

the picture must be in .ico

Go to Admin Panel>General>Forum>Configuration. Use Servimg to give your favicon a url and post the url in the box that says favicon, then save Wink

You can use an animated .gif as a favicon *example or a .png
There's a 128×128 .png on *this site and it displays fine.
Where to add favicon[click]

CSS is Cascading Style Sheets, so it would be irrelevant.


Make sure your image is around 48 x 48 in size. I have tried it and it has worked.

Favicons don't work on IE, as it is not supported. It will work on other browsers, though.
