what size does the logo have to be?

i asked this in another forum and the response was that it didn't matter unless it was too big.
Obviously but there's no way to know.
Here's the problem;i made a banner to put in where the logo goes.
It came out way too skinny and looked terrible.
I can remake the banner but HAVE to know what size?

The logo area must be a certain size. There's no 2 ways about it.
So what is the size of this area so i know the largest size i can make the banner to fill all that area?
Without it being either too big(and not show)or too small and look like a squished banner.
Need size.What is it?

Why don't you give us an example of what kind it should look like?

the banner i am working on is going to include the image on the left.
Then the color will extend all the way across with a second image in the center

the banner i put in was so 'squished' it was unbelievable!!
So we went back to what we had originally.As soon as i have a size will be doing the new banner.
Would it help if you could see the banner?

General>Messages and Emails>

In the messages frame, right at the bottom.

Allow Quick Reply: Check it to yes.
