"Widgets" in posts

Post by Pestario on January 8th 2009, 1:54 am

Hi!

I was just wondering about one thing. Is it possible to POST widgets or scripts? I was just trying a Mario game from widgetbox.com. I can get it to work if I press preview, but when I post , It only shows the code. I have tried det JavaScript, Flash, and "MySpace" code.

I just think it's strange that it works on preview, but not on post. Anyone who have made this work?

Can you post the code? Or provide a link to that specific widget?

Its working here.
Make sure you have your html turned on for the forum.

General>Messages & Emails
Allow html, check it to yes.

Also, in user profile, click on profile>preferences
Always allow HTML :Check it to yes

See if this makes it work.

Thx Smile It works now! Don't know why it didn't work before.. All I did was check the Always allow HTML in my profile, the HTML tab was already set to yes in the admin panel. I checked allow HTML when i created it before...

But, thanks for the help Smile

Just one small thing, in case others encounter the same thing. For others to see the object, they must also check the Always allow HTML tab under profile settings! That was the reason for me just getting the code. I allowed HTML to be posted, but I had only alloew myself to View the CODE and not the object.

So that leads med to my next question: Is there a way for the Admin to check the Always allow HTML for OTHER members?? Can't find it...
