Allow auto-subscribe to groups by gender

I have created my forum with a male and female group. I want them to be auto subscribed into the appropriate group based on their gender. For example, they register (i made it mandatory for users to input gender upon registering) once their account is activated I want them to be assigned into the male or female group automatically... How will I go about this without having to manually set users into their appropriate gender group?

I was told this isnt possible so I am now suggesting this neat feature for our convenient use. It would be nice to auto subscribe users into groups that meet other requirements/qualifications then just only a post count rank requirement.
