Moderator Roles

First topic message reminder :

I think we should have moderator permission roles that we can set global moderators ban users but not general moderators

I am suggesting something like this

So, What do you guys think?

EDIT: The ideas i am suggesting that will be available in group modification are:

~ Can delete posts
~ Can edit posts
~ Can close and delete reports
~ Can manage bans ( including ban and unban )
~ Can lock topics
~ Can merge topics
~ Can split topics
~ can move topics
~ can delete topics
~ can send topics to the garbage
~ Can change credits of users
~ Can ban usernames and ips
~ Can see hidden users
~ Can view IP Addresses
~ Can modify profiles
~ Can change user ranks

that's it!

I like this suggestion, I beleive that is a screenshot of the phpBB Moderator Roles Option in the Admin Control Panel? Yes, it is very useful, so therefore I vote yes! :wouhou:

I also suggest that mods should have a setting to change user ranks....My forum requires some one to do it but only admins can...

Votes for a yes please can do with it as i have a training mods bit and would really like to have the ban settings removed and only have a G/ mod ban if needs bee and i would only like some mods to be the ones to Delete a post if needs be

im 100% agree with this. you know why? i have assigned one member but not belong to a group, he is not mod or what anymore, he has assigned only to moderate, and he has no color and of course, he is regular member only. but he can also ban and modify the profile, see the hidden, see the reports, and do what Global moderators and and support moderators do. What i mean is,

If we will assign new member as moderator of the section, and he is regular only, the only thing the power he has, is the moderating of the given section by the admin.

im agree with also with the topic starter. Why? admins are the one who will be assigned group moderators to ban, to see the hidden users, reports, edit the profile of the members.,
