Restriction on signatures

As opposed to just allow/disallow sigs, I think there should be a file restriction on sigs as to avoid people having a huge picture in their sig and scroll bombing the page.

And I agree. I think sigs are great as long as ther w/in a certain size limit. Other wise people go overboard and put HUGE pictures in their sig. Not only is this annoying becuse you have to scroll down large sections of space just to reach thenext page, but it also disrupts the flow of the thread. it would be like this in effect:

*“Victory lies in exhausting [trust], making rewards clear, selecting the troops…..”(pg 102 Military methods)

*someones sig

*

"Now rewards are the means by which to give happiness to the masses and cause a soldier to forget death. So I think sig size restrictions would be FABULOUS!^_^

If there is a file size limitation on avatars, why not have a limitation on sigs too

yes,i vote for it.I think this is a good idea.Although admin announce that sigs should be this size only they are not following and the forum turns into gallery of signature.

This won't do much. You can have a huge picture which has a smaller size than a little GIF. Also, if people saved a picture in BMP, they wouldn't be able to use it if the size was too low. And if the size is big enough, then they could use quite a few JPEGS. You may have to include something about the file types that are allowed in your suggestion.
