being able to reset reputation on a user/on a post
Reputation reset/edit
the problem is like this:
e.g.
user A posts a reply and other users abuse the reputation feature to give this user A's post a lot of negative rep... as well as on other posts of this user A
(bullying?)
what are you able to do against? nothing... but telling those other members not to do it anymore. but the rep points that were already given... cant be removed
so my suggestion would be...
either enable the possibility to reset all rep given to a post... like with a little button next to the green/red rep bar or via post edit-mode
or enable the possibility to manipulate a users total rep counter
EDIT: you are not even able to reset the whole rep system for the whole forum at all... even if you disable the system and enable it again...
so the whole reset should be possible as well

i'll vote yes
but wouldn't there be a way to take away the "-" ?
that way i dont think it would get abused if all you can give is good REP

Re: Reputation reset/edit
i sure want ppl to vote on a post... and only giving them the positive choice.. doesnt seem right...
though yours might be a good idea too
and well... mostly abusing features happens when implementing such a feature... or user find out that it is there...
and only a few have something bad in mind... at least on my forum...
but it might help in general...
maybe taking away voting permission for single users might even help better... in case aggressive abusers...

Re: Reputation reset/edit
I think there should be a system like this. I would hate to ban the rep system from my forum just because of a few bullies feeling insecure about their rep. So Yes.
Re: Reputation reset/edit
My vote is yes because it's happened on my forum.

Re: Reputation reset/edit
I vote yes for the power to edit user's reputation.
The reasons can also be the opposite of what you mentioned.
I found there are users on my forum who has almost no good quality posts/or help (compared to others) and they have a much higher rep than others. This is due to popularity or from getting friends to crank up their rep.
