Solved Header Size Problem

Post by txkgal on November 17th 2011, 9:16 am

I have added a header and it's the same width of the page/forum. Some members have said it makes the page to wide and they have to scroll to the right. Why?

Why can't my header be wide instead of small. It seems I can't make it more than a 840 wide without some members having to scroll to the right.

Solved Re: Header Size Problem

Our forum URL: www.ourrecipebox.net

I have taken the wide header off for now until I can figure 9out the problem. But the header that is on now is the same one that I want as wide as the page without having to make members scroll to the right.

Thanks...

Thanks for the link Smile

Actually, the width of your forum is liquid and fits itself at 100% for different types of monitors and resolutions, while the banner image has a fixed width and it won't change as per the screen.

So to solve the issue you can set the forum width to fixed pixels. You can do it from Admin CP > General > Configuration. Change the forum width from there and set it to 900px of near to that. And then you can upload the banner image as wide as the forum width which will work for all screens and resolutions.

Hope it helps Very Happy
