Multiple PMs Empty Multiple PMs

Post by KarenaTheFreak 17/11/2011, 17:14

Whenever I try to send a PM to a group containing all members of the forum the PM gets sent multiple times. I only hit send once but the page never changes from the message page but my browser says it is loading the next page (message sent page) and the message gets sent until I either log off, or prevent PMs for a minute or so. This doesn't happen if I am only sending a PM to one person, and I have no idea what could be causing this. Can someone help??

Not sure what you mean.
In your sent messages it will appear one message for all it was sent to,
also keep in mind any one who replies to the message everyone in that group will also receive a message of the reply,

But other then that i am not really following what you mean correctly,
Not sure what you mean by this? but my browser says it is loading the next page

can you get a screen shot?

I'll try to explain better..

Once I hit send after writing a PM I'll see firefox's loading symbol next the tab I am using, but the page will not change to the page that says the message was sent. It stays stuck on the PM page and sends the PM over and over again (I have received multiples of the messages as well as others) unless I log out.

I know it used to happen to another admin on the forum when she'd send messages to the all users group. She'd have to log out to stop the PMs from sending multiple times.

It only seems to happen for that group too because I can send a message to a single member, or to another group and only one will send, and the page saying the message was sent appears within seconds..

I hope this makes a little more sense...

That's what it looks like, sorry for the size. If you look at the right most tab you'll see it says connecting but it doesn't go past that without me loggin out.

1. Create a invisible group with auto-subscribe option (minimum posts - 0).
2. When you send PM, in the Or a usergroup field write group's name. Wink

That's how the group is set up..I know how to send a PM, it's just that the PM I send to that group gets sent more than once, even though I only hit send once.

It only happens when I send it to that group though. If I send it to another group (that has 20 - 30 members right now) it doesn't send multiples of it. That only happens with the All Users group.
