Solved Re: Login on header, punBB, phpBB3 & Invision

Post by Omu on November 22nd 2011, 11:46 pm

Try that. Go to ACP > Display > Templates > overall_header

Find:
Code:
<a href="{U_INDEX}" id="pun-logo"><img src="{LOGO}" alt="{L_INDEX}" /></a>
Replace with:
Code:
<table width="100%">
<tr>
<td align="center width="50%">
<a href="{U_INDEX}" id="pun-logo"><img src="{LOGO}" alt="{L_INDEX}" /></a>
</td>

<td>
<div id="connect-box">
{LOGGED_AS}
<hr>
<a href="/profile?mode=sendpassword">Lost Password</a>
 |
<a href="/login">Login</a>
 |
<a href="/register">Register</a>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

And now put in CSS:
Code:
#connect-box {
width: 250px;
height: 100px;
border: 1px solid red;
background: blue;
border-radius: 7px;}

How do you do this on PHPBB2 with it to the right of the header, saying to log in or register?

I can't really give out my overall header right now, (forgot password XD) but can you give me the codes I need though?

I wanted to open a topic on this but so many people asked, and I was just thinking me asking would make no difference. XD

I know you were helping the topic opener but I was asking if someone could help me too (because we have the same problem. I was trying to let you know that I have template editing so I can be helped also. your quote says PHPBB2 (which I also have), I don't think I should open a new topic if someone is asking the same question. Lots of people help two people in the same topic, especially if the question is the same, this way forumotion doesn't have too many of the same topics on the forum.

You don't have to help me if you don't want, I'm just letting you know this.

@Nera. wrote:It should next to your header like on my forum. Add the code and than show me.

Remove the scripts you added one by one (start from the last one added) and see which is not OK an making the others not to work since they get grouped. Hope you removed the first code with <script> tags for the login on header which you added in the JS managment, that would make a problem too. I have the color picker on that board and its working.

Remove the dashes in this part of the code {U-SERNAM-E} completely in order to work/spell users username.
I could not write it normally cause it's censored here.

@Nera, Is It Possible This Code Will Work On Invision Version ?

If you mean the username variable it will work if you add it to your homebox. It's a simple variable that works in posts too.

Hi,

Add this to AP > Display > Homepage > Generalities > Message content

Code:
  <script>
jQuery(function() {
                  x=document.getElementById('i_icon_mini_login');
                  y=document.getElementById('i_icon_mini_logout');
                  if(x) {
                    jQuery('#logo').after('        <form action="/login.forum" method="post" class="ulogiran" style="float:right;"><table cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3" border="0"><tbody><tr><td width="45%" align="right"> Username:</td><td><input type="text" name="username" size="25" maxlength="40" /></td></tr><tr><td align="right">Password:</td><td><input type="password" name="password" size="25" maxlength="32" /></td></tr><tr align="center"><td colspan="2">Log me on automatically each visit: <input type="checkbox" name="autologin" checked="true" /></td></tr><tr align="center"><td colspan="2"><input type="submit" class="mainoption" name="login" value="Log in" /></td></tr></tbody></table></form>');
                  }
                  else if(y) {
                    jQuery('#logo').after('<span class="ulogiran" style="float:right;"> <p>Welcome {U-SERNAM-E} <br> You have logged in, have fun bla bla!<p></span>');
                  }
                });
  </script>

Than add this to AP > Display > Colors > CSS

Code:
.ulogiran {
    position: relative;
    top: -250px;
}

You should get this:

Ofcouse if you want it to display your nick when you logg in ad the {USERNAME*} variable with no *(star) where it says: You have logged in, have fun bla bla!
