First topic message reminder :

Hi, I'm getting this message all the time when browsing around my board. You guys said you would keep the other topic open until you get a reply from the higher ups. This is actually happening more frequently now, too. Any new news on this issue? Is this happening to anyone else? I haven't heard of other people complaining actually.

For me it is happening even when I'm doing things like clicking on the navigation bar.

Sorry, i wasn't sure whether I was supposed to open another topic or not, so lock this if you want to. it's a really big problem.

@Suuki wrote:Does it have to be permanent, people probably wouldn't have to deal with these things if it wasn't. It is something The Godfather can change, right?

@Suuki wrote:So it's probably a script from Forumotion support causing the problem?

They should really raise the limit.

Yes it is permanent, as it is to prevent people from leaving forumotion and taking their forum with them, through a particular converter on a certain forum.
Yes Godfather is apart of the Dev's', actually, he's the head 'techie' as I know (If I'm wrong please correct me Godfather Mr. Green ) so technically, yes. he can either change it himself, or get one of his colleagues to do, however neither is likely,, due to the reason I said above.

Have you tried having all your scripts in the 1 file yet?

To be honest, I've opened about 20 or 30 tab's up and haven't hit this limit yet, so it's definitely an isolated issue

Just opened thirteen tabs and got the message after that, but it really is not that is more like when I'm looking through posts and this message goes off (more annoying when it goes off in the chatbox)
How exactly do you put it all in one file?

That really does stink that it's permanent, it is worth leaving. -_- (which I would hate to go to a 'paid' host)
I will take a look at my JS and see what I can do, if it continues, I will post here.

Darren, the problem that Suuki and some others are having is being caused by certain scripts they have loaded into javascript management. The problem isn't the number of scripts, it's what a couple of the scripts are doing.

It is the scripts that are accessing or requesting the same information. If you have to many codes doing this, it causes the issue.

Then how does it happen in the ACP? I'll see if I can sort my problem.

When there are too many requests on your forum, it causes issue with the whole forum.

Any scripts you have in your Java Script Management that requests the same information.

For example:
Let's say you have four scripts that access or requests members' post counts, this would cause too many hits on the server.

Combining codes will not make much difference since they are automatically combined.

It is scripts which are making Ajax requests you need to look for and remove, or use them sparingly.

I had a lot more that I wanted to add (and I barely have that much!!) Why must we be restricted so much.

So I guess the limit stays the same? We should at least be able to pay credits to up it.

They didn't necessarily say to remove, they said we should reduce the requests? (sorry I don't know much bout this stuff)

But I don't really have that much, and I'm sure people want to add more...

Another problem

**I DISABLED java script and I'm 'Still' getting the message?**
--uhhh can someone explain that?

1 more question from me !

Do javascripts known as replacers make the requests go up ? I am not refering to javascript counters, just replacers !

I do not have that much coding, is like 3 java's to much? Plus Forumotion automatically combines them. I even disabled it...and I still get the message. O.o

Try removing all your acripts. Remove them, but save them in a Notepad. Then turn off Javascript Management. See if this fixes your issue.

Just try it. If they are not deleted, they are still in your forum codes.

It doesn't matter how many javascripts are running on your page.
It only matters if those javascripts are making extra requests to the server either via Ajax, or adding things to your page like Iframes.

Suuki, last time i visitied your forum, your problem was being caused by the chatbox you have installed. I'd recommend un-installing it, and although it might not fully fix your problem, you will see an improvement.
We talked about installing my chatbox version as an alternative Wink as it won't add as many requests.
