Is Forumotion a Fraud? Empty Is Forumotion a Fraud?

All right,

first of all, I'd really like to know, who is behind this shady project, which is treating its long-term users like a trash, because this, at some point, might go down to a legal suit.

We're provided with this Servimg.com pseudo hosting service and after a while, I reach up to a couple of thousands images, it's free, of course and looking very cool, until a day, when your account disappears! I can't log in and all I get is a link to Terms of Service, which tells me just about as much as any other randomly googled page and that I shouldn't upload some porn on it, does actually anyone think that somebody would be that dumb and upload porn on a free image host? Fairly, I haven't uploaded any porn, all I uploaded were screenshots from games and similar stuff to provide some galleries and image walk-through guides and yet my account gets deleted. No warning, nothing! You just wake up one day and your work for past years is gone. This is actually very tricky and sneaky approach to lure people in, get them used to Servimg.com and one day, when they finally start using it for 100% smite their account.

But all right, I was still cool and went to this forum for some answers. Some moderators reacted with replies, which were completely out of any, event remotely distant, context.

Still, I was cool and waiting that one day, someone, who actually knows a bit about his own service might provide me an answer.

Shockingly nothing!

3 or 4 months later, which is right about now, I came back just to find out that my old topic with this issue mysteriously disappeared from the face of this support board. Why is it called SUPPORT FORUM, after all?

Does that make any sense?

No, not to me, to be honest.

I frankly hope, I will have the pleasure to face the person responsible for the damage caused to me, before I start taking this really personally and will handle this the old fashioned way.

What is however most irritating is that this whole service might be actually some sort of fraud. I mean, how can somebody profit from providing free forum, free image host, free everything? So there must be some other reason behind this and I'm concerned that the answer might not be so pleasant for the public, therefore I might have nailed something and my topic gets erased from so called support forum.

What is surprising after all that my IP wasn't ranged banned or something like that.

I must tell, I'm glad, I will never have to use this shady service ever again, in comparison to this hell, one single vBulletin license priced 300$ appears like a cheap nothing. At least, there is a guarantee to talk to real people, not someone hiding behind fake names and fake web-site without a chance to contact someone directly.

Only one thing is sad, I had to learn this the hard way.

All I got to say after this experience is: "Never trust any free stuff."

Best Regards,

Hi,

I'm very sorry to hear your issue and I apologize for your inconvenience.

Your old topic regarding your Servimg account is still here https://help.forumotion.com/t93207-servimgcom-critical-message#601155

If you haven't uploaded porn, then you were not banned for it. More likely it is this:

Probably a violation of copyright.

Please respect the staff here at Forumotion as we do our best to assist you. We are not frauders and Forumotion generates revenue through credits and advertisements on their forums.
If you have questions regarding your Servimg account, we will be sure to assist you. As stated in your old topic, Sanket has already asked if you would PM him your Servimg info.

Hello.,

I understand where you are coming from. As for having your Servimg account banned due to breaking the Terms of Service it most likely you have reports or illegal content of some sort. Forumotion isn't pushing you to use Servimg nor is the staff here. You are allowed to use any image host on the web. As for your last topic about this issue, it wasn't deleted and we don't delete topics. We will only garbage them I have turned on a feature that garbage old topics that don't have a reply within 30 days, so that we can keep the support section clean. This is why we have only 3 to 4 pages of topics in each section.

But for whatever reason you don't wish to continue to use Forumotion, that is your choice and you got to do what you got to do I'm going to go ahead and lock this topic. If you wish, you may send me a PM.
