special text limiter

what i would like to do is make it so only admins and moderators can use the images, link, flash, video, text size, color and font for posting or private messaging it would be greatly appreciated if some one could get/make me a code for this or at least lead me in the right direction. oh and i forgot to add that i am using punbb.

Do you mean the buttons in the text editor?

I believe there is no option/feature to block users from using those buttons. There could be a code.

yea i looked through the codes and found the code to display the buttons but i can't figure out the code to add before it to limit it to only the admins and moderators

I do not believe you can limit it to certain groups.

in the code like for other languages you could do if username="" or username="" then do this, is this possible with html?

If you use widgets then this could be done pretty easily. Simply by including the needed code to hide these buttons in a widget with the permissions set to members only and not more and admins, therefore not hiding the buttons for mods and admins.

By the way, even if you hide the buttons, the users can still use the bbcode by just typing it in.

yes i do know that now is it possible to just turn off the bbcode if they are not mod or admin i don't really care if they can't use the other things right now.

Yes that again would be possible by using widgets.

It wouldn't be too hard to write a script which when the form
Is submitted it replaces any of the BBcodes which you don't want used.
