Installing stats counter Empty Installing stats counter

Post by Killertudse December 20th 2011, 6:43 pm

Hi.

I am totally lost on how to install statscounter

I need to insert this code <!-- Start of StatCounter Code for Default Guide -->
<script type="text/javascript">
var sc_project=7507139;
var sc_invisible=0;
var sc_security="277310be";
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script>
<noscript><div class="statcounter"><a title="joomla
statistics" href="http://statcounter.com/joomla/"
target="_blank"><img class="statcounter"
src="http://c.statcounter.com/7507139/0/277310be/0/"
alt="joomla statistics"></a></div></noscript>
<!-- End of StatCounter Code for Default Guide -->

So i go to display -> Template -> Generalities overall header, Then i add it right before the body at the end of the. But then body and html goes red, and it doesnt work. So anyone know how to install it?

yeah not sure? where did you get the code from.
I believe this may have to have one part in the <head> section and the other part of the code in the <body> section

and i have tried that in both templates header and footer, and nothing is appearing wen i publish it,

So i would need to have the instructions or site you got the script fro,
It could that it just have to be created with in the head and body section of a whole new html table, but not sure?
