Solved Icon
Hi!
Well, last time I seen a lot of topics that request support that are created with Solved icon. It's horrible, why? I don't understand... Haha, beside this, I've tried to help a lot of users (that marked their topics solved) and I have posted last with a absolute solution to problem, or possible solution. Okay, MrMario look in subject and just move topic to Archives. Yeah Mario, you are not guilty, of course, user are guilty because mark topic solved.
So, I suggest to create a topic to Rules & Important Points to write a little important point about this. I don't like the thing that people mark their topics solved because they have nothing to do.
If you voted for no please tell us why?

Re: Solved Icon
Voting no, wouldnt make a single bit of difference.
When your coming to a support forum for 'help', the vast majority of user's DON'T read rules, they just Wiley nearly post away.

Re: Solved Icon
No, I closed that topic since it has been edited after the answer http://i.imm.io/dtB5.png
That would be considered solved than if it's marked solved.
Mostly if things like that happen I move it to archives since it will be pruned to garbage and end up beeing useless.
I'll vote NO, cause mostly none of the users read the even the general rules and more of them would only create more reminders.
Those who think wont mark their topic solved.

Re: Solved Icon
I voted no and I thought about this.
The reason I believe over half mark it Solved. Is because they think it's an option they have to chose from Solved or Completed, so they mark that one Solved.

Re: Solved Icon
I am voting no as well. The user has changed the topic icon to solved & possibly, its solved for him. I personally choose to ask the user again whether its solved for him even if a solved tag is added. But, in most cases users just add the solved tag & go on with their business.
Its pointless for them to reply, if the added the solved tag.
Even if its added by mistake, the users can open a new topic.
I fail to understand how your suggestion helps the support forum or the users who ask the question in any way?

Re: Solved Icon
Including what others have said. There is really no way to stop it. Not many users read the rules now a days. No one really ever reads the Terms of Service anyways, so no use in creating a rule about it. If its solved and there is no solution why not ask the user if its solved. If no response then I guess its solved.
