In progress Adding a counter

Post by itoh on December 24th 2011, 2:14 am

Is there any way to add a counter ot the main page of Forum?
I tried to add an HTML counter to my main topic page post and I notice:

HTML is OFF
BBCode is ON
Smilies are ON

How would I turn the HTML to ON. I don't see anywhere in the post to turn on HTML.
I looked in my Profile (as Admin) and I see that HTML is checked as ON.

Or if I turn HTML on somewhere in my Admin Panel, does that mean everyone can post HTML. I just want to be able to use HTML in my own personal posts.

Can anyone explain please? Thank you.

Hi,

To enable the HTML:

1. AP > General > Messages and EMails > Configuration > Allow HTML
2. Profile > Prefrences > Allow HTML

If you do it all you'll be able to post HTML in posts.

Your users will see it if they have set their Profiles to allow HTML and all of them will be able to use it. To see the product of the HTML code in posts they must set their Profile allow HTML to YES.

There is no other way.

As for the counter you can add it:
1. AP > General > annonouncments
2. AP > Display > Homepage > Generalities
3. Widgets
4. Templates etc.

Go to..... http://easttnforum.forumotion.com/

See ''site visitors'' it will be on top of page...under advertisement bar (which is below the scrolling announcement). Had to move it to a widget......third column...bottom widget has a new title-Symposium Hit Counter. Where I had it..you could click anywhere (like a border) on the homepage it would take you to the ''Hit Counter's Site''.

Is that what you had in mind?
