Is there any way to directly edit the header and footer on forumotion? it is quite a common thing on invision and proboards but I could never find it on forumotion.
And if you can't edit them, why is there no option?

Both..
Many things, like adding a legend, or your own customized sidebar requires a header and footer, I think..

Just edit the _footer and _header templates Wink I don't remember the first part of the name but you will find it.

Oh, that brings me to another problem.

I've never seen the templates option on my forum. It SHOULD be there as I've seen it in other forums I've started, but my main
www.pottersarmy.net
Has no templates option whatsoever.

Look here:

Administration Panel > Display > Templates

Make sure you are in Advance Mode.

I already have.

All that shows is:

DISPLAY
Skins
Choose a theme
Themes management
Temporary themes

Homepage
Generalities
Structure and hierarchy
Headers & Navigation

Pictures and Colors
Pics management
Colors

Avatars
Avatar gallery
Smilies

Nothing else. I know where the templates are because I've started new forums and used templates on those but on PA they don't show and never have.
Perhaps its because my website is very old?

Hi, please note that only founders that access the templates section on the forum. I assume that you're not the founder since you can't see the templates. Smile
