Emails are not working
Hi,
Notification emails on my forum are not working for users despite the correct settings being applied in profile preferences. The notification for replies to topics email is not being sent out???

What type of email do you use? @yahoo.com, @mail.com or something else?

I personally use yahoo, but my users use different ones. I just tested it on my own email account, and it didn't work - yet I know in the past it has worked perfectly fine with my yahoo email address, so it's not to do with the provider.

Hello,
This bug is something Forumotion is looking into and can't seem to figure out why. They are working and figuring it out, but its most likely on the email provider side.

Re: Emails are not working
Hi,
As MrMario has said, the devs/techs are looking into this. There's been alot of modification to the Email scripts & communication with individual providers as there's been alot of reports that emails have been delayed or not received at all. Most reports have been resolved but now, they are looking specifically at ALL yahoo domains (from yahoo.com to yahoo.com.au ect).
Hopefully this will be corrected shortly, they are treating it as a matter of priority.

Re: Emails are not working
OK, thanks for the update. Have asked the members and it seems the issue is that the preferences in the profile section to send out emails keep turning themselves to 'no'. A few of my members have said they hit 'yes' and save, but sometimes they go back and it has reset itself to no on its own accord!

Re: Emails are not working
Several of my members are not receiving email notifications for private messages, if it helps their email addresses end in .au

Don't you just love us Aussies
Just let them know the fix is on the way - I'm guessing the patch wasn't released to all servers, just a few in particular, Im hoping the techs/devs release it all tomorrow morning. (Currently 9.30PM in France)
